  2. I'm jealous!!! Good for you!! Can't wait until i can say the same thing.
  3. Yay! You are on your way. I have had mine out for two weeks now. Should have my sleeve surgery in may. Good luck!
  4. Thanks. I will be asking my doc on my upcoming appointment but was just curious as to what everyone else was doing.
  5. Whoo hoo!!!! Enjoy the moment and many more!! Can't wait for mine!!
  6. Hey. Guys. I am still preop and should be sleeved in May. I suffer from terrible joint and muscle pain and have been on anti inflamitory meds for years and there is no way i can live without some kind of pain med. What else as far as prescriptions are an option. I know tylenol otc but that won't do anything for me. Thanks!!
  7. Sounds like restless leg syndrome! Really!!! I know low iron can bring it on. Just a thought. Hope it gets better soon!
  8. I understand the reason for the psych eval to make sure there are no eating disorder but that should be where it ends. And looking back...knowing how i did react in the moment...i know he was the one that overreacted. Its been 4.5 years and i still get a laugh out of it. I would go to my pcp, get the rx and be done!!
  9. Hey. I had a lot of stomach pain with my band. Hard to explain but just pain. No reflux and minimal vomiting just pain and a lot of burping and pressure. Had two barium swallows and everything was normal before i decided to remove it and go for sleeve. Dr said everything looked good when he took it out this week. Removal surgery has been a cake...almost. Just ate and just didnt agree...almost just like my band was still in.
  10. Yes yes yes!! And hate that i have to choose...be fat or have 3/4 of my stomach removed?!?!? Just had my band removed this past Tuesday sitting here hurting...feels like my band is still there! Had my band in for 4.5 years. I feel ya 100%!!
  11. This kinda reminds m of my experience. I am now in the process of lapband to sleeve revision. I had to have the psych visit for my band and during my eval my moms calls and tells me she is at the hospital with "brian". Which is my sons name...oh and my cousin. Well i thought she meant my son. And was like omg, is he ok, what happened..and was crying. Then my mom realizes my reaction and tells me it was my cousin. I didn't jump up turn furniture over or run in traffic...and the doc tells me that i overrracted?!?!? Ummm i thought my kid just got hit by a car?? He didn't hold up my progress but told me i needed o get with my pcp for meds and he never followed up. I don't think one person who meets you for an hour should have that much power!!!
  12. Had my band out yesterday!!! My doc makes you wait 12 weeks before moving to sleeve. Good luck!
  13. I can't wait until i feel better!! My band is coming out this Tuesday.
  14. Well....i applaud you for not waiting years like i did!! Good luck!!
  15. Haha! Wow...you like yours more then i like mine! Ha! I can't wait for this thing to come out! Even though it's scary having nothing and not knowing for sure that i will be approved for the sleeve.
  16. Does your stomach feel better w/o the band?? Mine is coming out next week and moving to sleeve in May. I am praying this pain goes away. My stomach just hurts all the time. Hard to explain other then just moderate pain. I am scared that it's just my stomach and the sleeve will increase the pain. Even though i never had pain prior to the band.
  17. Ms antiband...can u tell us what your issue's were? I have had two barium swallows and they said everything is fine but i dont feel fine. Thankfully i am having mine taken out in three weeks. Thanks for the info!
  18. Hey. I have had my lapband for 4.5 years and i bet the trouble you are having is from gaining the few lbs that you have. Everytime i gain, i have trouble with food getting stuck. Also stressed and our girly TOM will increase those odds. I have had my band checked several times b/c of the pain and everything is good. Just thought i would share. Good luck!
