  1. I got a real bad migrain the night of my fill. is that when yours started or was right at the time of fill?
  2. its hard to see when the picture are side ways...keep up the good work
  3. you should be losing 2 lbs a week not days. The body can hold up to 5-7 lbs of water weight. I weight myself every morning at 6 am and mark it on the calardar so I can see how it goes for me . it all comes out in the end I do the happy dance the second I see a lower number and keep that in my head. Good luck and keep up the good work
  4. hot liquids seems to relax the areas and it feels better.
  5. thanks for the laugh this morning and how true now I need to think of a new weight number for my license
  6. get into doctor happened to me and needed all fluid taken out I was lucky I didn't need to have surgery...so don't mess around call there after hour number now to be sure what to do.
  7. sucking on surger free hard candy will help in the car or gum, popcicls, hot tea will help at hope Having meds on hand is a comfort for me.
  8. you start filling it slowly so people don't need any to feel satisfied on 1 cup of food 3 times a day and you are not hungery for 4-5 hours...most folks get 4cc-6cc over time if he fill it to the top it would close it off any nothing would go through. The sizing have more to do with what size fits around the area at time of surgery due to the amount of fat there. Don't worry there is more then enough to help you.
  9. call the after hours and get med for nausa very import.
  10. vomitimg will cause slippage and possible removal...always call doctor when that happens..nothing calaual about vomiting I just recoved from just that and nas in the green again when dehydration flatten the band today and I am lucky they could just take out some and I feel good on the inside.
  11. had a migriain for the frist time in over 20 yrs and hurt to even sit up long enough to drink or eat thought I'd be fine in 24 hours by the next morning I was very weak and wobbly on my feet so back to bed. Today I called my surgeon office and he got me in my band had flatten out due to dehydration so they remove half the fluid and I felt a lot stronger after drinking 16 oz and my head is saying eat since I lose 9 lbs in two days.So drinking plenty isn't just something everyone says dehydration can happen quickly so even if you don't feel like drink do it if you cant call in. Also if anything unsually happens call like I said I hadn't gotten one for these 20 + years why now? don't know. so put this inforo in your pocket of tricks just in case.
  12. good thing you band is empty however you stomach can come up throw the band and cause it hard to eat or drink I just went threw this. Often they have to remove it and I wonder with all the problems you have had in the past did you go in and see the condition of the band?I got a very band migraine and was in bed for two days will the chills and then sweating went into surgon today and the band had flattened out so out came half the fluid. I was so dehydrated I could hardly walk but after48 oz of liquids i feel better but I am hungry after 2 day no food. My point is call and get into the office and have a extra ASAP.
  13. it took 3 for me a total of 6.5 cc in a 10 cc band. some doctor do it very slow so its not so much how many fill but how much the fill is. Do you know how much you have in now and the size of the band?
  14. keep calling your insurance company to see if your covered and how long will it take to get approved and anything else you can think to ask them. then call them weekly as well as the surgeons office (sweeky wheel and all that)my regular doctor and I knew befor the sergeons office knew so it pays off. Do not pig out start on a diet plan that has worked before and get a head start I used WW as my plan ...good luck and i hope it goes fast for you.be sure to ask your insurance company how long after the surgery do they cover I found out yesterday some only cover 3 mos but self paid people got 13 mos no extra cost...so I am now on my own and it is $150 a visit to get a fill I need a special fund for the feature instead of o xmas fund lol plan ahead it pays
  15. jif makes snack size peanut butter on an apple or a couple of crackers at break..its also a good time to have your daily fruit.i would and have just gotten up earlier to get that in not fun but I needed it to work..
  16. remember when you get home the weight doesn't stsart falling off you have plenty to do while healing then you will need (probably) get a fill in 6 wks and then it starts. many think the band losses the weight but no you do and this takes time... I need 3 fills to get into the green zone but I learned a lot in how to work with the band.
  17. I have lost a ton over the years but the problem was I couldn't stay on any program long enough to finish the job and I always had head hunger. I don't any more this program works forever when you work with it...we are here for you and we have all been there hang on to us we are a great support group.
  18. wow you look so good and I agree with you it is so worth the work
  19. so happy for you hitting those goal is the greatest feeling
  20. that's not always true...My doctor did it with the flouscope and it was bent over and he remove all the fluid and 4 wks of rest. He did say some folks do need it repaired or replaced hope you just need a rest.
  21. try a heating pad all the time it helped me a lot and have a lot of bm"s that will get the air out.
  22. who ordered the swallow? this is normal from the air they place in your stomach as they put in the band and only the surgen would know for sure. Gas x, stool softener, laxative and heating pad all help us get past the first couple of weeks. Stick with drinking only sip all day along and please call the doctor who put the band in before doing anything else.
