I'm scheduled for 9/27, I'm having my pre-op class & streess test today. I can't wait but still nervous.

Hi, My surgery date is September 27th, I have my pre-op appointment on Wednesday 12th to get instructions on pre-op diet and stress test. I am not too nervous just anxious.... Tell me about your recent experiences. I hear that the first week you feel like you want to die or regret the decision of going forward with the surgery... Anyone felt like that after surgery? What should I buy now to be ready post op?

I finally was given the news that have been approved and a surgery date. It will be 9/27/12. I had to make phone calls to find out and get a date, so if you're in this phase of the process make sure you ask for things to get expedited or even to get done. Anyways, I'm so happy but starting to get nervous. Any suggestions on how should I prepare my self for the pre-op diet and for surgery? What should I buy and have at home after I get home from the hospital? Thanks!

Hi, I am officially waiting for my insurance approval and I am wondering what comes next? I know that after the approval the Dr. Office will call me to schedule a surgery date, but I have heard about pre-op appointments, sleep studies, EKGs etc…. Can someone please tell me what to expect on this stage of the process?? Thank you so much!

Hey! So I called the Dr. Coordinator one more time before calling Cigna and SHE answered!! I was so surprised.... So she told me she sent it yesterday so I was happy with that. I then called Cigna to make sure they had received it and they said they received it today. So now I just have to wait for the approval. Hopefully it is not too long of a wait. Thanks for the support!

Did anybody here had a hard time getting a hold of your Dr's office insurance coordinator? Because I have left several messages at several times and different questions and I have not even received a call letting me know that she got the call but can't talk or a letter or something. So at this point I don't know if she already sent the paperwork to the insurance company or it is sitting on her fax/desk waiting to be looked at.... I am pretty upset because my last requirement was sent to them on August 2nd and I had to call them to make sure they had everything and make sure they would send it to the coordinator. Now I don't even know if she received it and if she already sent it over to cigna. Do you think Cigna can tell me if they got something??? UGH!!!
