  8. She just remarked I was on a lot of meds and asked when I was going to have surgery. She gave me a look like that ain't happening. Asked if I'd had my psych eval done, they do it at this office. Asked who my surgeon was. Made me anxious. I had a psych eval at the bariatric center I was at before I switched, just waiting on records to come over.
  9. I'm bipolar and I got the distinct feeling from my new therapist I wouldn't beable to have this surgery. Just the way she was asking questions. Is that true?
  10. You don't need a reason to be depressed and to diminish one with depressions needs is pretty insensitive. No matter the reason or if there isn't one in the first place! Yes, I'm on 4 antis a mood stabilizer and anxiety. Finding out soon what needs to be changed for surgery.
  11. Your feelings are perfectly normal and we will hear from you in the next few days, right?
  12. Modified fats? My surgeon also believes in high protein low carb.
  13. I'm curious about fats as the only "diet" I could successfully lose on was low carb. Atkins to be specific. His ideas on fats was way different then the norm. I am pre but I'm trying to get info. Cheese, low fat or regular? Can half and half be tolerated? Does the pouch scream noooo at natural fats? My brain says low carb, not low fat, will this approach work with bypass?
  14. I switched bariatric facilities and the new has to get my records from the old. Could be a little while. Hopefully before winter.
  15. Thank you for the welcome! I'm afraid mine may be sustained released.
  16. I, I'm Kim. I'm 46 years old and working towards my surgery. Thanks for having the forums. The only 2 issues I'm looking at is I'm on 4 different antidepressants and must find out if they are crushable or switch meds. I'm also a 20+ year smoker. I quit 7 days ago along with coffee. My surgeon nicotine tests. Thank you for having me
  17. I quit 7 days ago along with coffee. Really tough and the headaches?! I can't believe it's been a whole week. My surgeon tests before surgery. I don't have a date yet. I bought two nicotine testers. I was positive on day 5. I will test again in a month. Congratulations on your month...that's HUGE! WTG!
