  1. I have MS too! No my Neuro and surgeon are fine with it. I only take back often and neurontin. Are you rr?
  2. I just can't wait to put something on that doesn't have an x in the description!
  3. I have many clothes from thrift stores. There is one that sells stuff for a quarter! They are ready to wear once the weight starts falling off!
  4. What a great attitude! Keep it up!
  5. At the very least, what vitamins am I going to be needing? I'm taking (gummies) multi, calcium. Chewable c. Cranberry and niacin. I know I'm going to need a d but which one? How many can I buy at a regular store like Walmart? I see Centrum has a gummie now and I know I'll need biotin for my hair. Thanks!
  6. I can't believe it but the niacin is working! Cigarettes taste horrible!
  7. No pre-op yet. Not looking forward to forking over 200 for it!
  8. Get better so you can you can kick that phone out of your supportive hubbies hands!!!
  9. From what I've researched, nicotine is gone in days, however cotinine stays longer. My son was a heavy pot smoker and was clean in two weeks for the army by using niacin and drinking a gallon of water a day. I'm just having such a hard time. I don't want to get the call it's in a month and I can't pee clean. I want to be rid of these darn things!
  10. Sorry about the repeat it gave me an error message. Oops
  11. I'm diligent about taking my meds. My surgeon knows what I'm on he was concerned they'd have to be changed. My psychiatrist did not change them at all, they can be crushed. I'm going to speak to the insurance gal in the morning to see where I stand. Thanks to everyone for your support!
  12. Thank you, that was very informative. Yes, my surgeon knows about all my meds. His only concern was if they could be changed or if I could crush them. Psych said crushing them was fine. I'm diligent with my meds, I wouldn't want to subject my friends and family with me off of them. They are an integral part of my routine. Thank you so much for all being so supportive.
  13. I'm reading on Livestrong that to take high doses of niacin (3,000 a day). Drink a ton of water and use a colonic (yucK). The niacin actually works to stop cravings which I'm having a problem with. The colonic works to remove built up tar. Sounds reasonable.
  14. I bought some new niacin and I've taken four doses. My surgery hasn't been scheduled but I thought it would take at least 30 days to detox. I bought cranberry pills and juice, vitamin c and niacin. Thank you! ????
  15. My son just happened to have niacin. I took 2 500 mg or units, should that work? Ty btw
  16. Blew it and smoked. What can I do to flush the cotinine out of my system. I've heard lots of water, oj and vitamin c. Any suggestions? Back on the e cig (no nicotine type).
  17. I just don't know if my new surgeon will clear me after my therapist blabbed. I want this SO BAD!
  18. Im a depressive bp and a lot has to do with my weight. I truly believe that.
  19. Great for you! That's good news to hear your doing so well. No I want the surgery, have for years. My medical doctor cleared me knowing my psych history.
  20. I'm bipolar, stable on meds (that can be crushed with no changes). My new therapist works with my bariatric clinic and sent a letter to my surgeon stating she's concerned about my psychological history. She said that's all she wrote and the surgeons office would handle it. I'm already nuts how much worse can it get? I know so much about this surgery aside from actually having it, my ex had it. What should I expect? I've already had a psych eval at another bariatric center and I cleared it with no problems. Worried that I should have just shut up about it to my therapist!
