  1. Hi Teachbear...has your Jp drain been removed? How are you feeling today?
  2. It happens Shellbell. I haven't even gotten sleeved yet and have been ditched by some of my fuller figured friends. I think some people feel that our weight issues was one of the major attributes that bonded us and now that wont be the case. I think what they fail to realize is there are so many other things that make us friends but they have a hard time seeing past the loss of weight. You have found some new friends here Shell! We are here to support each other
  3. Hey Curvy ....I have not really seeked out any support groups as of yet. Sorry...wish I could be of more assistance
  4. Im sorry you are having such a tough time. Try reaching out to your surgeons office or PCP about the low blood sugar peice. I think there are drops you can get specifically for low blood sugar that will help you to get it up where you need it to be. Hope that helps. Feel better and know in just a few days you will be on full liquids and will be in a better place.
  5. Fiddle sticks! The expectation with the sleeve is that you lose an average of 8lbs a month knowing that some months you will lose more and others less. so definitely try not to let what your surgeon said get you down! You're doing a fantastic job!
  6. Thanks so much Shay! Glad to hear that others have been through the same! Have a Merry Christmas!
  7. Yeah...def gonna have to stay on top of them. I think most people go back after 2 weeks but I think I'll stay out 3 weeks to be on the safe side.
  8. Congrats girlie ...Im encouraged by ur post. I have been having some real difficulty getting my clearance letter due to my drs availabilit but continuing to press after the holiday!
  9. I appreciate everyone's empathy. I will stay on top of them but have decided not to obsess and will just enjoy the holidays. Atlanta Bariatric is closing early starting today through the holidays so, Im just going to relax a bit.
  10. ok...I am pretty pissed right now. So I have been ccalling my Drs office for almost a week now regarding my clearance letter and there is always an excuse. We worked late the night before...we had a difficult patient yesterday....and now, the drs daughter is ill and we haven't heard from her since yesterday. I mean WTF. So now I am feeling like Im not in any hurry bc Im not going to get into surgery before the beginning of the year. I guess I get to live on this pre-op for a month plus. Ridiculous! WTF is wrong with people....no regard!
  11. Girl I haven't even gotten my date yet. I feel like ppl are dragging their feet so Im calling daily! Im trying not to get frustrated but everyday there is no movement the aggravation increases.
  12. The for sharing shavy! Big Smiles, what do you regret and why?
  13. How are you feeling FabulousDiva? I love your alias BTW
  14. Douglasville Ga here and being sleeved by Dr. Titus Duncan with Atlanta Bariatrics and patiently awaiting approval.! Shayv123 how are you progressing/feeling. I see you are almost 2 months out.
  15. Hi Teacherbear, I too am being sleeved by Dr. Duncan. I do not have my surgery date yet but am at the end of the process and very excited. From my understanding and based on what most ppl are saying about their experience, 2 weeks is a comfortable amount of time to take off and recuperate. However, every person is different and it could take more or less time but I think 2 weeks is standard. Take care and congrats.
  16. Annie, Thensley and Danady please update us after your surgery! Im so excited for you guys. Talk to you very soon I hope.
  17. Latice Im using Dr. Titus Duncan. Ready to get it done! Danady, you've only got two days left whoop whoop! Who are you using?
  18. ditto Tameka! I am so looking to crossing my legs!
  19. Latice, I haven't been sleeved yet. I had my last WlV yesterday and getting my med clearance Mon. I hope they can get me un by the end of the year...sounds like it could still be possible. When did you receive your date?
  20. um guys ....Im embarrassed to ask, but what does the acronym NOV stand for? I've figured out what they are, just don't know what it stands for. Thanks in advance!
