  7. Congratulations and follow pre-op diet before surgery. Be positive and you will sail right through it. Guess I was lucky' date=' my recovery was quite instant, some gas and then over night 99% gone. I'm off pain meds and I believe the only reason I had to take them was belly button pain/aches everytime i bend over or get out of bed. Keep your walking up after surgery to release the gas in your system. Use a heating pad even if you dont feel you need it. Put in on for 10-15 minutes on your upper back. Take any meds for a good nights sleep. Keep your fluids as much as you can drink, BUT SIP your Water. Dont drink water like you're use to, your stomach will talk to you. Best wishes on your surgery date.[/quote'] Thank you so much for the advice!! I appreciate it!

  15. So I just got a call from the hospital and I'm officially going in for surgery on August 13th at 7am! 9am surgery starts!! I'm excited now but I'm sure I'll start getting really anxious and nervous by sunday :/ I know it's different for everybody, but how bad is the pain? I go back to college on the 23rd and I'm nervous that the pain will distract me from classes...do you think by 10 post op the pain will be pretty bearable?
  16. I officially go in for surgery on August 13th at 7am! Surgery starts at 9am! Ahhh excited and nervous and anxious all at the same time! ☺
  17. I'm on my 3rd day of my 1 week pre-op diet and it's definitely not easy. I feel hungry too. It doesn't help that my little siblings are eating all the foods I'm craving lol! But I just drink a lot of water it kind of makes me feel like I'm filling myself up. Also, try to distract yourself. I've been going in the pool and it helps! Plus it's a bit of a work out. You can do this! Stay strong! It'll be worth it in the end good luck!
  18. That's a good point, I didn't really think of that. I'll probably do that thanks!
