  1. I remember trying to find a clock but didn't have my glasses so I couldn't see. My surgery got started a few hours late due to a back up so my first question was "what time is it?" Then I said "does my mom know I am okay?" I was so worried about her having to drive the 45 minutes back home in the dark I didn't even care how I felt. Sent from my DROID Pro using LapBandTalk
  2. I have had a temp of around 99 most days since my surgery on the 8th... could just be your body healing. Good luck! Sent from my DROID Pro using LapBandTalk
  3. I have been getting up and moving quite a bit... I actually pulled a muscle in my lower stomach from doing to much activity so I have had to tone it down a but and focus on healing. I have actually had gas pains in my shoulder like this before so I am not surprised that most of my issue is there, I just hope it goes away soon. I tried sleeping in my bed last night, opposed to the couch and that was an epic failure. I could not get comfortable and barely slept a wink. At least on the couch I can comfortably sleep on my back and shift my head from side to side so I am not restrained to one position. Thank you all for the advice! 4. I was a belly sleeper and I am just curious.... will I be able to sleep on my belly again? If so how long did it take others before they could again?? I am 10 days post op now and this side & back sleeping is driving me nuts. Not to mention I have had a gas bubble caught in my shoulder for 4 days so I can't sleep on my left side because it makes the pain unbearable. Just looking for some help here. Thanks Sent from my DROID Pro using LapBandTalk
  5. I was banded on 8/8 and I totally feel the same way about smelling food. My pre op diet I did great as well but the last few days I have been overly thinking about all my favorite foods and how much I want them. Its driving me nuts. Especially when I have been having crazy hunger pains. I like you have not been getting enough Water but today I was able to do more and I feel like each day I will keep doing better. Keep your chin up & just remember what your ultimate goal is. We will all make it through this together! Sent from my DROID Pro using LapBandTalk
  6. I have had gas pain in my shoulder / collarbone all day today too. I was banded on 8/8 as well. All I can think is rest and the ideas about the heating pad are great I just don't have one. I hope you feel better soon! Xoxo Sent from my DROID Pro using LapBandTalk
  7. I am at day 6 and yeah the first couple of days were tough. Just keep fighting through it. The more you get up and move around the better you will feel. And yeah the pain med I am on made me real drowsy too so I took frequent naps the first 3 days. I am now not taking it so regularly. Keep your chin up and keep reminding yourself of your goal line and how much closer you are to getting there! Sent from my DROID Pro using LapBandTalk
  8. Well just take note from that and wait a few days before trying that again. I have noticed eating more often has been helping. Its tough. I just want to eat solid food so bad but I keep telling myself it will all be worth it. Sent from my DROID Pro using LapBandTalk
  9. Well I will work on that. The psychological part of that will definitely help I am sure. Thanks for the advice! Sent from my DROID Pro using LapBandTalk
  10. One good thing is we are all closer to the next stage of foods we can eat which will be good. I am thinking with thicker foods it might be more filling. Congrats to all of us for making this decision though & hopefully we all have amazing success! Sent from my DROID Pro using LapBandTalk
  11. Well maybe I just need to up how many times I am eating then. I just find it harder to get in all the Water too with the not drinking before & after. This also could be because I have been taking too many naps. Maybe if I regulate my sleeping then I can get everything else to fall in line. Its nice to know I am not alone here though Sent from my DROID Pro using LapBandTalk

  13. I was banded on 8/8/12 so just one day ahead of you. I was told to do a 4 oz shake in the AM then another 4oz in the PM... doesn't all have to be at one time. Good luck! Sent from my DROID Pro using LapBandTalk
  14. Did anyone else experience this? I have been following the liquid diet and I am having a hard time getting in all the Water I am supposed to be drinking but I just feel so hungry in the lower part of my stomach. It keeps growling & growling and I feel like I am starving myself. I tried getting more water in today and that didn't make a difference. I also tried sipping some tomato Soup (a couple days ahead of time) and it seemed like it worked for a little while but now I am getting that hungry feeling gain. I have drinking my Protein shakes and everything else. Not sure if this is normal or if I should be concerned.... mostly I am annoyed. Sent from my DROID Pro using LapBandTalk
  15. I was kind of thinking the liquid in liquid out thing actually... that's why I wanted to get some opinions. Today has been a much better day... I haven't had to take the med so regularly and feel pretty good. I am having a hard time fitting in all the drinking I am supposed to do. With the "no drink 30 minutes before and after" rule, then trying to drink the Protein shake, eat some Jello, maybe broth, more Protein Shake... napping (from the medicine) I just feel like my day has gone by & I have barely made it anywhere with my Water. I am trying but I am struggling. Sent from my DROID Pro using LapBandTalk
  16. I was only eating a half cup for lunch and that was all. I actually haven't been too hungry and only had my 4 oz of Protein shake in the morning and at night and my half cup of Jello in the afternoon. I really think its because I was drinking Water at the same time... last night when I took that out of the equation I seemed to do just fine. Thanks though & good luck on your journey as well.
