Hi Jimbo, My PCP was not supportive either and he has been my dr for about 6yrs but he cannot stop me from wanting to do it. I did not meet the requirements for the insurance to cover my surgery. I'm still having my sleeve but it will be in Mexico. Good luck

I was diagnosed with lupus about 17 yrs ago and I will be having vsg in 10/8/12 was wondering how other lupus sleevers were doing post op. My joints hurt now but due to my overweight

I've only had one flu shot in my life and it kept me sick for 2 weeks. I plan to take viramins and airborne a week prior my vsg. My sugestion is .......if you are used to taking flu shot do it if not then I don't think it's a good idea

I have been comunicating w/ Alma @ ready4 a change she has been great. I feel comfortable with her and honestly I have my phone I can email, fb or call via skype if I want to. My surgeon is Dr Garcia and I spoke to him already I'm happy with my decision. As long as I have no complications w/ my vsg I will be a happy patient.

Try second hand stores. I live in AZ and I went to Goodwill to buy some comfortable pants after my vsg

I bought samples to try them out before I buy the big container and I liked all the ones I tried vanilla, chocolate and unflavored. What I did with the unflavored one I had frozen straberries and blended with some ice and 1 splenda both my son and I loved it. He wants to have some of my protein shake lol.

My BMI is 36% and will be getting my vsg in October

The pre-op instructions that Alma from ready4achange sent me says to start pre-op diet 7-14 days prior to surgery.
