  1. So I'm 23 days out and I'm still on the puréed diet until wedensday. I'd really appreciate if someone could give me an idea on what their sched is like when it comes to eating/ drinking and how they manage to get in all their protein and drinking for one day. Thanks!
  2. As far as the gas pain walk as much as possible. I'd get a terrible pain In my shoulder and if I got up and walked around my house it would go away almost immediately
  3. Tht happened to me too. I would wake up at like 4 am feeling like I was starving it eventually goes away
  4. I got my period the day before surgery I was so upset because I thought the same thing that i was going to be Laying there in a pool of blood. They put a pad down and had me lay on top of it. Because of the blood thinners it made it even thinner than it usually is. Luckily because of the pain meds my cramps were not bad but now it's been 19 days since surgery and I think I'm spotting. I hope this is normal
  5. Italian jersey girl here with lots of family from new York and they all love to eat. Was sleeved on 8/1 going to miss all my favorite pasta dishes the most
  6. I'm from jersey too. I'm from manalapan/ freehold but dr Chau in Princeton did my sleeve. What about you?
  7. My doctor also said once I was off pain meds for a day. I drove my 3rd day out but felt a little uncomfortable. By day 5 I was good to go
  8. That does sound very low for a goal weight I myself am 21 and 5'4 and my doc wants me at like 140
  9. Yeah my mom bought those noodles While ago because she's allergic to gluten and they def have a fishy smell to them . Had them way before post op made me sick
  10. Mine was August 1st and I too feel great
  11. I too am 4 days post op I don't think I get exactly 64 oz of liquids in but I'm trying my hardest. It really makes a big difference on how you feel the more you drink. I feel great today and I'm making sure I'm sipping a lot
  12. Happened to me too and someone on here told me to try smart water and surprisingly I can keep that one down
  13. They are more annoying than anything. Coughing is what hurts the most and laughing at the moment but I was only sleeved on 8/1 so my incesions are still sore... Especially the one the stomach comes out of
  14. Hey girls. I was sleeved on 8/1 by dr Chau in Princeton nj. I was released on 8/2. I am 21 years old about 5'4 and went in weighing 257 pounds. I am now at 252 lbs. I was surprised that I did not feel much pain since I'm not one to tolerate pain it was more sore than anything.
  15. Well I had to do it for insurance purposes to be approved for surgery. I think I need to meet with the dietrician once in a while just to meet up with her.
  16. Yeah I think i just got that shoulder pain and when I got up it went away. And I haven't tried any Gatorade yet but my mom bought so we have it in the house.
  17. I only went to the required once a month for 6 months meetings with the dietician but it was nothing I hadn't already known. Speaking of hiccups I have them right now :/ I just keep reminding myself how much healthier I'll be in the end
  18. I find that every time I get up to fast I get the hiccups for a few seconds. Haven't had any pain in my shoulder.
  19. I did when I first came home because I didn't sleep well in the hospital it knocked me out then. Later on that night I tried again and it really didn't do Anything. I walked around my house and had crazy gas pains. My bed is only a twin and my bf was sleeping in it so I tried to sleep in my moms bed and I was able to sleep for a good 3 or 4 hours but the pain meds didn't really do anything
  20. August 1st. They released me yesterday around 4:00. Was a little sore and could not sleep last night. Hopefully I'll be able to sleep a little better tonight
  21. Yeah I came home yesterday as well. I def have not drank the amount of liquids that they would like but I'm trying.
  22. I can't keep water down mama t. Any other liquids seem to be fine right now but plain water I tend to spit up
  23. Yeah I couldn't sleep last night so I just kept walking around my house. I tend to do that from time to time
  24. Wow 82 pounds Thts incredible! Even if you have hanging skin that's almost a whole person! Just keep in mind how much healthier you will be in the long run that's what I keep telling myself. I am only 3 days post op but I can't wait for the future and to be healthy. That's part of my plan not to get depressed. Nothing to be depressed about you're losing weight and looking great!
