  3. They actually have it there too! I'm going to try it in a few minutes. Will let you know how it is. Sent from my iPad using VST
  4. Great! Glad it worked out. BTW, I found pineapple yogurt dannon fit and light Greek yogurt at Walmart on Sheridan Drive. Sent from my iPad using VST
  5. Darners73, Basically I just use a little bit of low cal orange juice about 1/4 cup or unsweetened almond milk, a container of Greek yogurt (6oz.) strawberries, blueberries, and spinach. If you can tolerate protein powder add that too. I put it in a magic bullet or blender and after everything is blended, I had ice to make it slushy. I love it, kinda addicted to them too! Let me know how it goes. Sent from my iPad using VST
  6. Hey if you guys are into Greek yogurt, I found Dannon Light & Fit Greek yogurt. It has 80 calories, 8g of carbs and 12g of protein! It's not bad. I love mu mullers, but that has lie 23g of carbs for 9 g of protein. Just thought I'd share. Sent from my iPad using VST
  7. QueenCityGal, Dream all you want, it is possible. I was sleeved a year ago and my mom was "ok" with it although I knew she was worried but didn't want to meddle. She said she did not want to visit me in the hospital because she didn't want to see me wrapped in cords and cables from the machines. She ended up watching my kids while I was in surgery and my kids wanted to see me so she brought them to the hospital. When she arrived I was being wheeled into my room and as soon as I got in, I stood up and walked to the bathroom. She was so shocked to see I was ok and able to do things for myself so soon after that she knew I was going to be ok. I guess sometimes our family wants the best for us but are afraid to let us seek our happiness even if it may seem a little frightful. It's been all positive for me. I still have about 30 lbs to go, I'm doing good and feeling great. To make you smile, I went to her house shortly after I went back to work. My dress pants were somewhat baggy, but I didn't want to buy new pants as I was in that rapid weight loss stage. She yelled at me and said if you are losing weight, you need to show it off don't hide behind those baggy clothes. I was so surprised. your family will come around when they see the wonderful benefits. Because of the surgery, I am no longer diabetic, have high cholesterol or high blood pressure. So where my weight loss is lower, my metabolic disease is close to non-existent after this next blood draw. Good luck! Sent from my iPad using VST
  8. I slowed down because as someone pointed out to me I was maintaining because I got comfortable and stopped eating non-carb foods. Thankfully, I caught on to it and started losing again. I'm just hoping I keep losing bc I have another 30 lbs to go! Best of luck to you. Sent from my iPad using VST
  9. Jec1, I too was on the lower end of the criteria to have the sleeve surgery. My comorbidities (diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol) is what qualified me as a candidate. I was sleeved one year ago today. I guess it's my surgiversary. From my initial consult to surgery, it took me about 2-1/2 months. Dr. Carauana was my surgeon and he was wonderful. I will warn you because I was on the lower end of the weight and BMI chart, I am a slow loser. With that said, really stick to your low carb diet. I kinda strayed away, and have found that my weight loss slowed down. At least that's what I'm guessing, but I haven't gained. Since figuring things out, I'm sticking to low carb and find I'm losing more. Good luck to you, and hope to see you on the loser's bench! Sent from my iPad using VST
  10. I would LOVE to meet other people in this area. Sometimes I feel I'm in a world of my own if it weren't for this forum. Let me know. Sent from my iPad using VST
  11. Dawners73, As long as you stick to your plan, you should be good. Best of luck to you and hope your recovery is a quick one! Sent from my iPad using VST
  12. My bp and diabetes was still a little high while I was in the hospital. It went down by the time I left the hospital to my first 2 week appt. but keep hydrated, very important. Sent from my iPad using VST
  13. You guys make this sound so easy. . Since my original post I have been very picky about what I'm eating and really concentrating on staying away from the extra hidden carbs. I will admit I feel super full on a little Protein and forcing myself to eat because so much time has passed since my last meal. How do you do that? I'm not hungry but know I have to eat. What kinds of Snacks are you eating. I usually went to my yogurt or smoothies. So much to learn even after a year out! Sent from my iPad using VST
  14. Feel better. It will get better. Stay positive and when you are cleared to walk do it. I transitioned a lot from the bed to my chair. Good luck with your leak test tomorrow! You are on your way!! Sent from my iPad using VST
  15. Yes, I agree. I have my one year at Synergy and I'm sure I'll walk out without seeing him. I'm not quite sure I feel ok about that. Sent from my iPad using VST
  16. How slow? I too had my sleeve with Dr. Caruana and my weight loss is so sloooooow! I stopped losing since beginning of January. Sent from my iPad using VST
  17. Yes, I am staying away. I usually eat around 900-1000, I tend to lose at the number but jeez the scale won't move! I'm saying since the beginning of January. But I will talk to my doc on Tuesday to see what they say. Sent from my iPad using VST
