  1. I have some questions if possible. Firstly what Vitamins are everyone taking. I am only taking a multi Vitamin. What else should I take? I do have a dietitian appointment tomorrow I am going to ask her. Second question is a little gross but for the sleevers that have no fall bladder. You find your bowel movements really loose all the time? I haven't had a normal one yet and I am 8 weeks post op. (I will be asking my dietitian about that too) Thirdly is there anyone on the site that has 60+ kgs to lose? I have about 75kgs to lose. 25kgs already gone, 50kgs to go. I am just really worried about excess skin. And would love someone else to bounce off. Thanks everyone.
  2. And that doesn't sound weird about holding liquid in your mouth. But I have starting to notice I can drink lots more now without keeping it in my mouth. I can now drink big gulps.
  3. Being able to run around with my 3 year old, being able to take him to theme parks and go on rides with him Being able to give my son a little brother or sister Being able to walk into every shop and being able to buy clothes off the rack. Being able to go go to the beach or pool or Water park and not being stared at. Being skinny for the first time in my 32 years. (well the first time I remember)
  4. Hey everyone, I do have my fitness pal Susie, but forget to write in all my stuff, might start using it again. Congrats Scotty about your super. Good to hear karaygh that you are doing well. Lila, not good, but you are an inspiration, you are still so positive. Hope everything goes better from now. I am happy to help Lila out too. Good to hear everyone else is going well.
  5. I think I need to increase my Protein also. I have been lazy and havent been tracking it. Water is no probs. but I find it hard to eat, I forget too especially when I am home and running around with my boy. At work it's a little easier as I have breaks. I don't get hungry. Susie great idea, might have to do what you did and get some advice. I am still losing. Have lost 23kgs so far. We are going camping for 4 days tomorrow, have tried to take protein Snacks but might be hard out there. Hope you all have a great week.
  6. Welcome, The first few weeks are the hardest. It's hard because liquid doesn't sit in your stomach for long so you don't feel full. Don't stress you sleeve will not stretch from liquids. Until you start on real food you will probably won't feel fully satisfied but also some people thinks its hunger when you are actually dehydrated, make sure you are getting enoug Water. Also could be reflux. This can also confuse you that you ate hungry, good luck, hope that helps.
  7. Everyone here are the most supportive people you are all so caring and living. Can't wait to meet some of you in a few weeks. Lila when you are settled in the public hospital please let us know where. I hopefully will be able to come and visit. Am happy to bring anything you need. Just wanted to say you are so lovely and great to see you are still thinking positive. Glad we can be here to support you. In 12 months we will all Have reached or about to reach out 1 year surgervesary and we can look back at where we have come from but certainly be alot healthier and happier. Good luck for tomorrow karaygh, will be thinking of you.
  8. Oh Lila, i am so sorry you have had all those complications. So happy to hear from you. I will be thinking of you tomorrow with your leak test. That sucks about the self pay and the extra bills you are going to have. All the best, keep us up updated. xxoo

  11. Good luck Susie. Will be thinking of you.
  12. So happy to find this thread, I am a sleeved Australian agnostic.
  13. Yeah so in 2 months I have lost that.
  14. Congratulations puppyphat. That is awesome, I can't wait till I get down there. Quite a while for me though. My 6 week post op weigh was this morning. I have now lost 21.5kgs. It's going slowly and I am happy. I must confess that weight loss is with no exercise. Only hot all my gym equipment sorted over the weekend. But hoping for more weigh loss now. It's hard as I can't afford the gym or pt. plus it's hard for me to get there with a 2.5 yo and husband that does nights. Thanks Shell. Might have to try it. Have a girls night in October.
  15. Wow ladies the sizes are falling off you. I wasn't really sure what size I was, due to being in 26 but all of the 26's being different, I am now in the skinny 26's. If that makes sense. I already have a bag of clothes that are just too big also. Can't wait to fit into my skinny clothes. I have sizes all the way down to 16/18. Just wanted to let you all know, I had a glass of wine last night, was soooo good. Took me ages to drink it but I really enjoyed it. Usually would have done the whole bottle in the same time I drunk one glass. Has anyone tried alcohol after surgery?
  16. Welcome ozee, I live on the northside of Brissie, what date are you booked in for. I am 6 weeks post op. and loving it.
