  1. Congratulations!! I'm on day 6 and I feel pretty good. Days 3-4 were hard for me but I pushed through and I'm back at work and still on protein shakes and liquids since my surgeon said to no add solids in yet. I found it works well for me when my stomach is growling and I am so hungry to drink some crystal light or diet snapple. It feels good fighting that growl since I know I don't need anything to eat I've just gotten myself used to that instant gratification with everything! Good luck to everyone- cant wait to hear all the success stories in weeks to come!
  2. No doctor doesn't know and I realize now I need to stick to the plan that was given to me. I got this surgery for a reason and my old behaviors are not going to just change themselves. No no never had a hernia repair. This was my first major surgery asides from 2 c sections
  3. My surgeon gave me a perception to a stool softener and told me to take things like gas x for extra help.
  4. This is my 6th say post surgery and I have been feeling some discomfort in my chest and stomach. Almost like heart burn feeling in my stomach and my chest it feels like I'm not getting enough air when I breathe. I'm easily winded while doing simple things like taking to my kids. I have a call into the doctor but wondered what others could offer as remedy or advice? I added some extra substance into my protein shakes today after reading some posts of others who began solids early(even tho I'm jut adding banana and peanut butter) could this be it? The discomfort has been for maybe a day or two. I've also been having some neck pain. Sorry for the poor grammar and or spelling on my phone until i get my laptop fixed
  5. Thanks, I really hope so.
  6. I'm 5 days out of surgery and I follow my diet exactly as I should. Right now I have 3 more days of only liquids left. ( protein shakes, broth, crystal light etc) I've been finding that yesterday and today I am getting really hungry. I tried to drink some water, another shake and that really didn't help. What am i Doing wrong? I'm getting really down on myself - I'm 5 days out I know I've got quite a way before my first fill!
  7. Congratulations! I'm 5 days in and posts like this keep me motivated! Good for you- keep up the good work!!!

  9. Hi everyone! Just had my surgery 5 days ago and am having a hard time adjusting. I did not prepare myself as much as I should have. I was hoping that there are some other people around the same stage as me who can share some advice? I'm a young mom of 2 and really had a hard time losing weight after both pregnancies. I know this is just a tool to help me with my weight loss goals and that I am the deciding factor in the end. I'm feeling kind of down because I am getting hungry now, and whenever I are or smell food I get really upset. So much so my husband and kids have to eat when I'm upstairs. This doesn't feel right or fair! Help/ suggestions?
