LexFl got a reaction from ShapeShifter in Had My Gastric Sleeve On July The 20Th
I had my gastric sleeve on July 17th! Also from Florida! I had mine done right here in Orlando though, I was fortunate to be able to do it close to home! The gas pain was the worst! But around day 4 it was pretty much gone and by day 5 I felt back to normal! I laid on my left side a lot and that helped with the gas pains!

My nutritionist told me to look for protein shakes that we're high in protein and very low in carbs and sugar. The shake I chose has a full 60 grams of protein in it and only 1 gram of sugar and 5 grams of carbs. I take that in the morning and then the rest of the day I have broth or sugar free jello, apple sauce, things like that but only at "meal times". And then of course fill up on my water intake too! It's a lot to fit it all in but that high protein shake is way easier than having to drink 3 separate shakes a day for same protein amount!
