  1. That all is wonderful to hear! You go girl! Your hair is fun!
  2. What a fun story! You go girl!
  3. What a fun story! You go girl!
  4. I'm only one day ahead of you. I had diarrhea really bad yesterday and I feel confident it was from the jello. I was eating a fair amount of sf jello and too much of the artificial sweeteners can cause loose stools. I scaled way back on the jello and it cleared right up. Maybe try that? Good luck!
  5. Mmmmmmm! That sounds so yummy! Time for my post op protein shake. Lol!
  6. Thank you for all the supportive words! And congrats on you WLS success!
  7. Thanks for the response. I am 100% committed to my journey. I lost 33lbs pre op... Totally on my own. I know I am doing this. I know in the logical part of my head that I've got this, I'm just having a really hard time actually picturing myself at a healthy weight. I have never been a healthy weight since I started puberty. You're right tho, as I re read what I wrote, it does sound very pessimistic. Not my intention. I'm just trying to sort out my thoughts. I always enjoy your posts, thank you! I have drawn a lot of inspiration from this site already. It is a blessing.
  8. Am having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that I'm on the other side of this journey. I am just having a really hard time imagining that I will have a success story soon. I've just been a weight loss failure for so long I am just struggling with the reality of what will be.
  9. I was on clear liquids for the first 2 days and now full liquids for two weeks.
  10. O, I'm on full liquids for the next 2 weeks. Protein drinks, sf jello and popsicles and broth. What else did you havewhileon full liquids? The sf stuff is giving me diarrhea and I'm nervous about dehydration as a result of that. Thoughts?
  11. You go girl! That is super! You look wonderful!
  12. My DH and I are. I had mine done this past Tuesday. My DH is looking at the end of September. Wearebothso excited!
  13. Elcee, I hadn't thought about it, but maybe I will make a small scrapbook of my journey.
  14. I Shouldn't have weighed myself first thing when I got home. I have gained 6 pounds. I just need reassurance that I am retaining fluid from surgery, right? The logical side of me knows this. :-/
  15. Excellent! That is great!
  16. Did your surgeon take pictures of your band after it was done? I was pleasantly surprised that he had taken photos and printed them for me. I ended up having a hernia that repaired while he was in there. I was pretty excited to get to see them. LOL!
  17. Thanks, everyone!
  18. All done! Just chillin in my hospital room. It went great. Just waiting on my jello. :-D
  19. I haven't posted on fb either. I really don't post anything really personal there though. I completely respect and embrace that it is a deeply personal decision on how to handle the topic.
  20. So now that I have been thru all of the pre op business and I understand WLS better, I keep having people from my past pop into my mind. I feel like I actually have known a lot of people that have had some sort of WLS, but I didn't have enough knowledge on the topic to recognize it. While it certainly is none of my business how someone takes the weight off, as a person that has always struggled with my weight, I always wondered why "they" could be successful but I couldn't. Anyway, this personal reflection has caused me to rethink how I'll handle questions. I had initially been very private, but I've been rethinking it all. For me, I've decided I'm just going to be forthcoming about the band. Maybe I can help other people that are struggling know that there is no shame in seeking help. That's all. :-D
  21. Dr. John Wieland at OSF Weight Management Center Does them. Unfortunately, I don't know about pricing. That's in Bloomington, IL (central). 309-661-5040
  22. Good luck! I had my gall bladder out several years ago. The first day was rough for me, but overall not bad. I'll be thinking of you.
  23. That's great Jason! I guess that's the thing, sure it can be done wo the band, but I've always gained back. I'm ready to be at a consistently wealthy weight.
