  1. I am hoping the week of November 3rd, or before Thanksgiving, I should find out tomorrow. All I have left to do is surgeon visit and hospital bloodwork. It took my insurance a little over a week and I was on pins and needles even though I knew they had everything they needed, I was afraid they would find a reason to deny. Good luck and hang in there!
  2. I like the EAS Advantedge Carb Control, 17 g of protein, 110 calories, the chocolate ones my go to. They are easy to find, they are the cheapest at Walmart $4.74 for 4, 11 oz RTD. I have been using them for one meal replacement on my supervised diet, they are not too sweet or clumpy. I tried the EAS with higher protein but can't get past the clumps. I am thinking these may be too sweet after surgery, we will see.
  3. I can't believe it, Cigna approved on the first submission of documents! I am on my way to sleeveville! I should be able to pick a surgery date tomorrow when I call my Dr.'s office.
  4. I have a history of this and am wondering post surgery if I will as well. I use 500 mg of magnesium every day to stay regular, just not sure if I can handle the capsule after surgery. Thanks for all the great info on here!
  5. OMG!!! I am loving this thread! My hubby and I have a list of goals for the 'hot pocket" to achieve after sleeve! "Oh, the places you'll go!" - Dr. Seuss
  6. My surgeon's office said it's the first weigh in, I was also concerned about this since I don't have any co-morbidities. I am in month 2 of 3 month supervised diet and just trying not to lose too much in the event this would change.
  7. I plan on using one (my surgery date will be sometime in November). I found a one in the maternity section of target called belly band, that has lycra for support. I used one 6 years ago when I had a vertical hysterectomy and couldn't live without it. This time I won't use such an "industrial" one since I won't have a 6 inch incision, thank the lord! It was a lifesaver for getting in and out of bed at home and standing up straight.
  8. I think I just found a comorbidity for me. I have been taking diuretics almost daily for 6 years since a complete hysterectomy w/o ovaries. My feet and ankles will swell abnormally several times a year even with the diuretics. I always felt there was a weight connection with this. I'm in month 2 of a 3 month supervised diet for insurance and haven't had my first appt. with my surgeon yet. I am just over the 40 bmi and am concerned if I lose too much, I will be below the 40 mark. I am going to ask the surgeon office about this. Any advice???
  9. I have been learning here for quite some time, thanks for all the helpful info on here! I am currently at the end of month 1 of a 3 month medically supervised diet for my insurance. I don't want to lose too much in the 3 months because I don't have any other health issues and won't be qualified for surgery under 40 bmi with my insurance. I just attended the required seminar this week and am looking forward to setting a surgery date. Thanks in advance for the support here!!!
