  1. Do any if you eat peanut butter? I have been eating about half an apple with about a tbsp of peanut butter. I aslo like cottage cheese with a bit of salsa and a couple if wheat crackers. String cheese and a couple of slices of slices turkey. I just wish I would only stick to these. There are days I crave chips, or sweets. Ugh! At times I wish I would've decided on the rny so I couldn't eat junk food.
  2. Hi! How do we upload pictures? Sue you look great. Well I'm guilty of eating snacks too. I am just tempted to snack all day. I put my foot down and I'm drinking my water and keep reminding myself I can't drink and eat. I hope it works. I gained almost 2 lbs. And since I'm drink more water I lost 1. Ugh how I hate that! I've missed you all and I'll be on here more often. Oh I finally found out how to add pictures. When I feel brave I'll post it.
  3. Happy new year! Hope all is well. I haven't been written for a while but I've been keeping up. Well these past two days were horrible food wise. I ate more carbs that should have. I did gain a pound which makes me sad. But only motivates me know to keep going forward.

  5. I'm a little 3 months out and I'm 20 lbs to goal. I know they say we keep losing for about a year. What happens when we get to goal before the year? How do we maintain? How will our little pouch handle it? Ugh! I hate it when I start questioning myself and not know the answers. Hope someone can help out. I emailed my nut. Maybe I can see her soon.
  6. My surgery was 3 months from the day I starred the process.
  7. Thank you. I will try giving her a call either tomorrow or Monday. I thought they were all the same. We had a large group of 20 ppl. And all thought we were to get blood work.
  8. Thanks. Yea Kaiser So. San Francisco. Is that playa vista near marina del Rey? If so I used to go to that Kaiser before moving north. I was very disappointed. I'm going to call my dr. To have her order labs for me.
  9. Well I went to my 3 month appointment and I feel it was a waste of my 2 hours. There was a large group of people and the nutritionist went over everything we had discussed pre-op. Didn't have blood work until 6 months post op. Ugh! Pretty upset I was hoping I get some help with my eating options but now I have to call to set up an appointment with them. I think I've mentioned this before but I really don't like the nutritionist that I was assigned. If I get her I will request for a different one. Hope everyone is well.
  10. I'm kind of nervous for tomorrows appointment. I have to admit I have been bad, I haven't been taking all my vitamins nor have I been eating or drinking all my protein. I can't even get all my water in. Ugh! Wish me luck.
  11. NGM glad to hear you had a good appointment. How long was the appointment? I have mine tomorrow but have no clue how long it'll be.
  12. I get the thick saliva thing most call slime when I eat too fast and or eat a bite to much. It's an awful feeling. It goes away shortly.

  15. I am 4'11" and at my heaviest I was 196. I started the process at 184 if I recall properly. The day of surgery I weighed 174. I did this for me to be healthier and to get rid of the comorbitities. I too got a lot of crap from people.not understanding why I was going to do this, did I care? No, I did it for me. I am 2 months out of surgery free of the comorbitities and I am 50 lbs lighter. I am 30 lbs away from goal. Do this for you. Don't let anyone discourage you. Good luck.
  16. Surgery on 9/13/12 and I've lost 30 lbs since surgery making it a total of 50 lbs total.. went from a size 3xl top and 18 pants to a med top and 9/10 pants. Putting me 30 lbs from goal weight. But the biggest achievement is my diabetes is in remission. Yay!
  17. I'm in San Francisco had my surgery in S.S.F.
  18. Yay! I met and surpassed it by 2 lbs. I'm officially. 146 today. For those of you who did not make goal today don't be hard on yourself, you will get there sooner than later. We have a wonderful tool that works wonders. Sometime it's a little stubborn but we will get to out personal goal soon.
  19. Thank you all for the good wishes. I was able to drink about 30 oz. Of liquids and about 1/2 cup soup without throwing up.
  20. Oh I'm nit doing well. I've had a " stomach flu" since Sunday. I haven't been been able to keep anything down that includes Water. I saw the dr. On Monday as I was scared to get dehydrated. Since I saw a different dr. Because mine was out of the office. Well that dr. Insisted I had rice and white toast. Umm I kept telling her I could do either since I'm 2 months out of being sleeved. To make a long story short I left with nothing that benefited me. Only thing was I should go to e.r. if I couldn't keep anything down. Then she tells me that I don't look dehydrated to go home and drink. HELLO.. that's why I was there in the first place.. I emailed my dr. The next day and she prescribed zofran which did wonders. I took one yesterday and I was able to eat crackers and a Powerade zero. Hope you all are doing well.
