  1. I am happy went well for u congratulations!
  2. I felt the same way in July. I must admit the time flies. I thought my day would never get here and I am being sleeved tomorrow. I considered all the requirements phase 1, the pre- op diet phase two, the surgery phase 3 and learning to live with my sleeve phase 4. It has helped me to think of it like that. Good luck.
  3. I am on day 14 and it does seem like forever day 2 and 3. By the end of the week you will be in a grove. Good luck!
  4. Tomorrow is my big day. mentally preparing myself for all that's about to happen. I have mixed emotions and I am nervous and a bit scared.
  5. Only!?!!!! That is fantastic! It really has made a big difference! I am guaranteed to be a slow loser. I don't mind, I hope it helps with my skin!
  6. I have no clue what it is like to be skinny. I have always been heavy since 6 years old. I think I may go thru major body dismorphia ( I think that is what it's called)
  7. You look great! How much have you lost?
  8. My husband commented tonight that he was gonna miss my booty. He loves full figured women. He has been by my side every step of the way. I think when a man loves you he loves now matter what.
  9. I am now about 48 hours out. I am to arrive at the hospital 9 AM on Monday. I have a a lot of other stuff on my plate that has me stressed out. I am on my way to work to finish up some things that I was unable to complete. I have my last pre-surgery massage today, so I hoping that helps me to relax. The nerves are setting in. I let me 6 year old sleep in her sleeping bag next to our bed last night. I am praying for a relatively drama free recovery. All I can think about is her and my husband.
  10. I am sure my husband would be pleased to know my swallowing received a stamp of approval from my friends at VST!
  11. Being able to talk honestly and open is huge. So it sounds like a great place to begin healing. Sent from my iPod touch using VST
  12. How are you doing? I have not seen you around. I pray you are on your road to recovery and they identified your issues. Please let us know how you are.
  13. 4 weeks!!!!!!!!!OMG! I am meeting my max at almost 2. Good for you.
  14. 22lbs! Is that all on pre-op? That is amazing. I am a slow loser I am down almost 10lbs. I am still very please. I am getting nervous and tomorrow is gonna be a ruff day at work. I have to be at the hospital by 9:00 AM Monday morning. They called me today to confirm!
  15. I am confused on the comment about drains. If u search the forum u will find there is no standard across the board with drain use. Some people have them and some don't.
  16. How is everyone feeling?!? We are so close! My nerves are getting me and finding it hard to concentrate at work. I have so much to do before I am off for a couple of weeks. How did your pre-op go? I am pretty much used to mine at this moment. I have found the only think I am craving is MEAT!!!! However, I have had dreams of Apple Pie, which is weird because it is not my favorite thing, MM's and Pizza! I never thougth I could/would dream of food.
  17. Chad, I hope that you can get home soon to ur family! Sending positive thoughts ur way. Sent from my iPod touch using VST
  18. Thank you all for sharing you stories. They are so heartbreaking!
  19. Haters gonna hate! Screw them. I work in a gossip pit too. Let'um talk. It means that have sh*t else to do!
  20. I have to say I was a bit stressed yesterday. My situation is different in that my insurance is covering my surgery, although I live in South America. BCBS is suppose to have a contract with the hospital here; however, yesterday I received a message that the hospital will not accept guarantee of payment from BCBS. Yesterday, I had my anesthesiology appointment and had to pay out of pocket. It was not that bad about $1600 bucks. However, when I got my approval back in August BCBS told me everything was taken care of and I would only have to pay co pay. So here I am less than one week trying to figure out what is going on. Thank GOD the rep from Allianz that handles overseas stuff was so great. She got them to agree to the letter and all I have to do is pay my $150 a day copay. I can't wait to see how much this ends up being. I think it is still 50% less than in the US.
