  1. I use Unjury and always use my Ninja Blender. I can't stand the clumps! With the blender, I have no problems at all.
  2. I have never shopped at Trader Joe's, there is not one in my area. However, I will be near one next week and could go there. I have heard that they have some good food items. Do you shop there and if so, what do you like? Any healthy high Protein suggestions would be great!! Thanks!!
  3. Cindy2013 you summed up exactly how I feel. I have a wonderful husband who is so understanding. But I feel go guilty about not being more sexual with him. I can't remember the last time we had sex. Maybe in November?? We do snuggle and are affectionate, but that is usually as far as it goes. I have told him too that this will change and he is excited about it. I am so lucky to have this man! I can't wait for this to improve!
  4. Being overweight I seriously lack any interest in having sex. I am married and feel guilty about this. I have been banded for two weeks and am looking forward to losing weight for so many reason. But so hoping my sex drive returns! Has this been an issue for your too??
  5. That is exactly how mine looks right now. Rashy and oh so itchy!!
  6. What is PB? What is the slime? Do you throw up always when you are stuck? Just got banded almost 2 weeks, still learning the ropes!
  7. Hello! I am one week post-op and still have one more week on the liquid diet. This is going really well so far. The next step is pureed foods. Is this what you all refer to as mushies? Or is mushies something else? Can you give me a few ideas as what you ate after your all liquid diet? Just want to get prepared for what is coming next. Thanks!!
  8. Wow...great advice! I am a week out and still on liquids, but this is something that I am keeping in mind for future reference.
  9. I am one week out and the port pain is still pretty intense, but it does seem to get better everyday. I talked to my surgeon and was assured that it is all totally normal.
  10. Hello! I had surgery one week ago today. Everything went perfect and I am feeling pretty good. Still sore, but otherwise great. Now that I have this new thing in my body, I have a few questions. So...I have no appetite. From what I have been told and read this is normal. What I don't understand is, what causes the lack of appetite? My understanding is that I have no restriction until I get my first fill. So if I am not restricted, why no appetite? And would restriction even slow down your appetite or does that just make you feel full faster? Now, I don't mind the lack of appetite at all. Its not a complaint, I just want to fully understand what is happening with my body. And before surgery I thought I had it all figured out. Then the band get placed and I am confused! Thank you all for being such a great resource!!
  11. I was SUPER nervous too! I just had my surgery this past Friday and I was freaking out. But, it went fine and I feel pretty good. It was my first surgery too! You'll do great!!
  12. So...its 5 days before my surgery. And today I am getting VERY nervous. Starting to think about all the dangers of being under anesthesia and start to wonder if this is really going to be safe? Who else has gone through this? I guess I just need to hear that all these fears are totally normal! Any words of encouragement would be so great. Right now I am wondering if this is a bad idea and I don't want to let me fear stop me!! Thanks!!!
  13. After surgery while on the liquid diet when did you start to feel hungry? Did you struggle with the liquid portion of the diet? Just want an idea of how others have felt hunger wise after surgery. Surgery for me next week!!! Thanks!!!
  14. Hello...I am scheduled for surgery on the 18th. Currently doing a 2 week diet pre-op diet of shakes and bars. Meant to shrink my liver. I will totally admit I cheated today and I feel terrible about it. Will a one time cheat ruin my success of shrinking my liver? I hope not! I am nervous enough about surgery and just want everything to go smoothly!
  15. I am scheduled for surgery on January 18, 2013. Nervous, scared, excited! Start my pre-op diet on the 4th!!
  16. Just got the word today that I am approved by insurance! Super excited and nervous! Just needed to share my news!!
  17. Thanks everyone for your responses! I was also wondering about how many calories are you consuming post surgery on liquids only? Is it different for everyone?
  18. Hello All, I am fairly new to this forum and have enjoyed reading so much information. I am currently waiting for insurance approval and then will hopefully schedule surgery. I am wondering....how do you describe the bandster lifestyle? What is different about your lifestyle now with the band, what's not different? I have so many questions! Thanks!!!

  20. I just found this website today and can't wait to read more, learn more and get to know people! I had my first doctor appointment on March 1, 2012 and have lost about 20 lbs. since then. I am still going through the process and am hopeful to have the surgery this winter! I am 37, mom of two awesome kids, live in Wisconsin. Happy to be here and learn from you all!
