Who did your psych eval. They told me it may be 300 and thats w insurance

Did anyone have to do a psych eval. If so who did u go to? is it covered by ins? If not how much was it?

Well...I called the ins. Company today. I was told that the doctor has to write this in the letter of medical necessity. I am hoping I can get this done much sooner.

Has anyone ever gotten there supervised diet waived from the insurance company. I can't lose weight because I have bad knees and can't exercise and the doctor has noted this is his file. I have done 3 months already and I am afraid that going 3 more months I will suffer and still have no results. Any luck with getting it waive..I'm with Bcbs of wny. Thanks

I was looking for something in New Orleans surrounding area.

My insurance finally started covering the sleeve. Prior to then I was talking to a patient advocate at Dr. Lavin's office. She said call back when coverage starts. Well today is the day and now they are saying that it may take several weeks to verify coverage..i don't have several weeks. Bad enough I waited 6 months to.have a ins cover it. Is there a doc in Metairie or New Orleans that may have an easier process? Who was your surgeon? Help, please!

He has an office in Slidell and Metairie I believe. Can I ask where did you apply for medicaid? And how did u get them to cover the sleeve?

I have currently completed 3 months with 3 to go....

Is it possible to change docs in the middle of surpervised diet? I have an upcoming appt w/ the current doc but can't make it and if I reschedule I would be pushed back.till next month. Has anyone heard of switching docs and how will this affect my ins. Case for approval?

I don't think its the point that I will be eating like a bird..lol.but I am only telling a few family members let alone co workers.

I am shooting to have surgery the end of February...early March but I am dredding telling my boss. I work in a office full of catty women that gossip and so does my boss. Can I lie about what type of surgery I am having(like gallbladder surgery) ? I think I need to take 2-3 weeks off.
