  1. I know you are trying to be a police officer right?
  2. No just want to run... Weird for this fat girl who used to not want to get off the couch... It felt so invigorating!!
  3. Actually ran a whole mile without stopping this morning!! I've been run/walking for the last month after work... Always felt like I was peeing a little. Key is to run in the morning before I drink anything for the day.... No peeing.. Lol it's hell getting old ... But great running!!!!
  4. It is frustrating to be sure. We have all had some sort of hoop to jump thru... Try not to let it get you down. The end result is worth it!!
  5. I had horrible breath for a few weeks after surgery ... I didn't realize it until my husband said something. Hurt my feelings but then what didn't during that phase. Lol. I read that it is your body going thru ketosis and bad breath is one of the side effects. It doesn't last.

  8. Onward to a better healthier you!!!
  9. Patience is key... I also am a slave to the scale... Sorry DL. Follow your dr and nuts guidelines even when you read something different here. There is a reason you picked your surgeon. You have to trust him. I still do a ton of research. Google will be your friend. Take your vitamins. And move your butt. Remember to smile and say thank you when you get a compliment. We have all lived in the shadows for far too long enjoy this moment. It's hard work but work the tool you are given and the rewards are great!!!

I had surgery 02/21/12 exactly a year and a half ago
  11. Good luck girlie... You got this!!!
  12. I didn't start feeling better for about 2-3 weeks. Remember you just had major surgery! It's gonna take some time
  13. Date of surgery 340 lbs Today maintaining 147 lbs Surgery date 02/21/12 Very happy!!!
  14. It was 60 lbs before people started to notice on me. The closer you get to goal weight the more people will notice the 5 lb loses. It's frustrating but patience is key
  15. I have a stabbing pain in my gut and have narrowed it down to green onions. Before I figured it out I just laid on the bed in the fetal position til it passed ... Horrible
  16. There are others. Think there is a thread on the topic... Someone will answer shortly.. You are never alone here!!!
  17. I started out at 340 and now weigh 147... It can be done. And will be life changing!!! Welcome
  18. Why is it that rny brings out the worst in women... Some women whom I thought of as really close friends have totally quit talking to me. Then someone I barely knew and hadn't seen since about 190 more lbs ago.. Lol.. Came up hugged me and started crying because she was so happy for my success. This process is hard enough... Really don't need judgement or negativity from others on top of it. Keep doing what you are doing... I think you are doing fabulously!!
  19. Mine doesn't growl but when I first had surgery the stabbing pain I felt I quickly learned was to let me know to eat something. Now I try and beat that pain and eat a little protein something every 3 hours. when I am not sleeping ha!!
  20. I agree with DL. About a month ago I started getting lax with logging my food intake. As I am a slave to the scale... yes I know you don't agree DL.. ha...I caught a 2 lb gain quickly. I vowed when I started this journey that it is much easier to lose under 5 lbs then 190 lbs. So, when I caught the weight gain.. I quickly got back to logging everything that goes in my mouth and upped my exercise. I was excited to see the weight come off with in 3 days. So am back to logging everything and exercising like a beast. We have come to far to see our efforts fail. Get back on the wagon and use any and every tool in your arsenal. Excuses are like butt holes ... everyones got one... only way to get it off is to be accountable!! You got this.
  21. AWWWW I want to see the pic. Good job girl.. always so proud of all your accomplishments!!
  22. I have seen plenty of people post on here from other countries... welcome girlie!!
