  1. Thank you! I need them
  2. If I EVER say I regret this- you all have permission to come slap me. I'll give your address. Counting the days to surgey. I HATE the way I feel right now and unless I have some life threatening complications- I am ready for what's after surgery. I'm so thankful for every single thread on here because I feel so much more prepared for what I can expect and things that may come up. That doesn't mean I won't repeat because I can truly appreciate the need for validation happy sleevin' folks!
  3. I had six months of NUT appts- so when I have surgery on the 12 th it will be 7 months
  4. There has already been enough advice but I can offer a couple other points on this: 1) the time starts ticking if you want someone evaluated against their will. So- it's too late to do a whole lot if she is not currently (at this moment) an imminent risk. 2) third party petitions are NOT easy to get and were designed to get people help before the emergency detention system was developed. State statues are different. If something happens like this again please contact your local crisis center (human services) and/or police for a "welfare check". So sorry you have experienced this. Not knowing your daughter and knowing history is hard to really say. Parenting at all ages is hard huh? Hugs to you
  5. Not a happy Justine . I KNEW I had bronchitis. It was brushed off to be allergies. So with surgery being on the 12th this freaked me out a bit so I went to the walk in last night and got my cocktail of drugs so I can be ok for surgery Bee sting: well I had to just mention it because I am the biggest freak when it comes to bees and it nailed me and then my arm looked all weird. Apparently bees are bad this year here. Yeeeeouch!!! One more feel sorry for myself moment- My aunt felt the need to tell me she was glad I'm Doin this surgery. I saw her yesterday and she said that "she couldn't believe it when I saw u - it's only been a few months" (Speaking of my weight gain). This would be the weight gain during my 6 month NUT appts that she is referring to. Feeling like a winner today
  6. Awesome. Please clarify once again the difference between underhunder and onederland. My goal is to be a part of all VSG clubs .
  7. Hang on there NG - you're doing so gooooood and you will be so happy and proud in the end. No self sabatoging- you've come this far. Try some of the other suggestions- like something warm.
  8. I just want to say for the record to anyone who will listen that I, at age 37, had TOTALLY OVER did it back in June. (I'm still pre sleeve). I swear I haven't been that sick since high school. I swore off drinking alcohol. It was over a month later when I tried again. Mainly to tell my brain that I'm overreacting. I wasnt. Lesson: pre sleevers go on a big bender and develop an aversion. Worked for me :)
  9. Ha- thanks for putting that list together. We will have to keep updating it I went shopping today and even though I'm only required to do 48 hours- I may do one week- which means Wednesday will be the day foru liquid diet. I also bought SF applesauce and pudding- is that what you guys eat on pre op? Oh I bought chicken broth and Greek yogurt and Sf Popsicles. I have premier proteomics shakes too.
  10. I just said a special prayer for you happy surgery and speedy recovery
  11. Sorry- I didn't see this. This thread is getting too big to keep up on. How's the liquid phase going? Just think- in less than two weeks you will be a sleever! I don't have to do liquid until 48 hours before. I'm getting nervous now. What time is your surgery? I'm at 9. :-/
  12. Great news! Happy recovery
  13. Totally not bragging! Wow- what a change in a short amount of time. You look beautiful
  14. Wow thanks for the feedback. I believe mine are seasonal and will go away when winter comes. I have an inhaler and do have OTC meds too if I want. I will also check it out with a doc on Tuesday if it's not better - thanks!
  15. Yep- it's all I think about. Work is on the back burner- although this past week they kept me on my toes. Surgery on the 12th for me. I'm off now until Wed and then will only be back for one week and then it will be time. That thought actually scares me a bit- especially when I read the "what can happen" stories. Yikes! But Alas- we will prevail!
  16. That's so exciting! I felt that way too on Tuesday when I found out. I'm starting to freak myself out now though about the surgery
  17. So I posted a few days ago that I met with my surgeon and got my date of Sept 12. She also listened to my lungs and said they were clear. I'm struggling because I, for some reason at the magical age of 37, have developed allergies and they are taking me down. I am coughing and can hear it rattle in my chest. I had no idea allergies could do that to you. I don't want this getting in the way of surgery- I find it harder to breathe and take my inhaler more often. Do I go see a GP or just ride this out? Not sure what they would do for me? Gah!
  18. Congratulations to you and all of your hard work!
  19. My surgeon just told me 4. 2 for recovery and 2 to begin to acclimate my body to foods.
