  1. Did great thie morning..surgeon 6 to hiatal hernia while he was in there so surgery took longer... pain isn't too bad.... hubby is awesome....
  2. Me too! Up since 3:30am! Can't sleep but we are leaving in half an hour finally! Good luck!
  3. Good luck fallon and soreadynow!
  4. Surgery tmw morning.. heading to bed early. Good luck to my fellow 10/12/12 banders!
  5. Being banded on Friday at 7:30am. Just heard from the practice manager that I am approved by Aetna. Have to say that the surgeon's office team is outstanding to work with. Good luck to everyone being banded this week!
  6. Can you try other shakes? I am on Unjury and LOVE them. Maybe a better tasting shake would help. JMHO...
  7. Had my upper endoscopy done yesterday and walked out of the procedure with my gastro's permission for surgery. Had my last surgical consult last night so I am all set for my surgery next Friday. Have not received approval for the surgery from Aetna yet but the surgeon's office swears they will have it in time and that I've done all I can do. Lost 21.5 pounds in the first pre-surg diet week. One week to go!
  8. On the pre-op diet since Friday and lost 20 pounds! This can't be normal! I am actually worried that I'm losing too fast. I was hungry the first few days and now, I only get hungry just before it's time to eat. Anyone else have this happen?
  9. Not sure the diet has to do with being larger. I started at 425 (now below 400) and I am on the same pre-op diet as everyone else in the practice. However, if you have a BMI over 60 (I do) then you need to be on it for two weeks not just one. I can have protein shakes, sugar free jello, sugar free pudding, oatmeal, crystal light, decaf tea/coffee, salad and fat free dressing, etc. Anyone else have a moment where you think... "what am I doing?" and consider cancelling? I am all for the surgery and have done my research etc but now that it is so close, I am worried. Hoping this feeling goes away!
  10. I'm an October bander! Scheduled for October 12th! Looking forward to my new life and started my pre-surg diet two days ago.
