  1. I think it would be ok. I've had toradol a couple times since surgery.
  2. I was sleeved on July 12th. Day of surgery 241. Today 218. About 23lbs gone so far.
  3. Yay I found them! Can't wait to try some new recipes!
  4. Thanks everybody I will look again!
  5. Where do you find them? I only have Walmart here to grocery shop and I haven't been able to find the wonton wrappers. Maybe they don't carry them?
  6. I use flinstone chewables-the gummies don't have thiamin so my nut advised against using them.
  7. Can we eat cereal with milk? I have been wondering this since we shouldn't drink with our meals.
  8. My surgeons outline was clear liquids days 1-4, full liquids days 4-21, soft foods days 21-56 and regular foods after that as tolerated. Didn't u get a book or anything saying when to move on to different stages? All surgeons are different. Maybe call ur surgeons office and ask when u can move on?
  9. Thanks everyone. Maybe ill use the leftovers and tear it up and add bbq sauce.
  10. Thanks. Those are some good ideas.
  11. Yeah I had the tenderloins today. I don't think its a good idea to buy the monster ones cuz it would take a week to eat.
  12. I take flinstones complete chewables (1 in morning and 1 in evening). My Nut said not to do gummies cuz there's no thiamin in gummies. And I do citrical gummies for calcium. (1 twice a day). I think I'm going to start a b12 to see if my energy increases.
  13. Does anybody have any tips for cooking chicken breast so that it stays moist. I tried putting it in the slow cooker with chicken broth and it was still dry as heck.
  14. I'm 3 weeks post op and have no energy at all. I know it takes awhile to get it back but id like to know how my levels are looking. My surgeon doesn't do bloodwork till a year post op. I see my PCP on the 14th to go over meds and I think I'm going to request that he check my levels of everything.
  15. I was sleeved on the 12th. July 9th I met my surgeon and weighed in at 241. Yesterday I met with him and weighed in at 222 so 19 lbs down. The first week was the worst for me. Getting liquids and protein was fine but the pain of the main incision was horrible. Dilaudid was the only thing that I got relief from and it lasted only an hour. I saw a p.a. at my surgeons office at 6 days post op and she did a trigger point injection around the incision and that helped a lot. Now the pain has been getting better. I bought a bike today so I can go for bike rides with my son. My physical therapist said people who lose the majority of their weight in the first 6 months are more likely to keep it off so that's what I'm going to work on.
  16. I'm two weeks out too and I'm dizzy 90% of the time. I'm on full liquids (hopefully moving up to mushies tomorrow when I go to my follow up appt) and I'm very ready to eat something with more texture. I sit here and just get a dizzy feeling in my head and then start to sweat a little. I don't know if its cuz I'm not getting enough fluids in or what. I'm pretty darn close to 64oz a day. Maybe ill get an answer at my appt tomorrow.
  17. I'm 26 and 18 days post op.
  18. After lots of pushing I finally got it out. Now I have a headache lol. I hope this is the hardest stage of this whole post op part. I'm only 2 weeks post op but hopefully things will start getting better from here.
  19. I'm afraid to try the MOM cuz its already there just can't come out cuz its too hard. I have tried stool softener and miralax.
  20. I'm still in quite a bit of pain. Don't want to take pain meds cuz I'm horribly constipated. I can't get anything to work. It feels like trying to push a softball out of a small hole. I only hope things get better.
  21. I am a single mom and I have a 5 yr old. It has been hard I'm not gonna lie. I haven't been able to rest and he is always wanting to go play outside in the hot weather and he doesn't understand that I can't. I try to keep him occupied in the house. He has a leapfrog explorer and a ds that I try to keep him occupied with.
  22. I'm on full liquids. I've been having yogurt and broccoli cheese soup and premier protein shakes and I have been drinking powerade zero and water.
  23. haha I wish! I live in Wisconsin.
  24. Are they normal? I have been dying all day. I am sitting in the house with the ac on and I'm sweating like crazy. When I sleep I wake up soaking wet.
  25. Part of my post op diet is drinking 1 cup of carnation instant breakfast in between my "meals". I get the chocolate. Its not too bad but I find it very filling.
