  1. My NUT told me to eat around 900-1000 cals a day. I've lost 53 pounds since surgery 10/2. I have about 55-60 pounds to my goal. I started doing what my NUT said and the pounds started coming off again. I'm eating 5-6 meals a day and each meal weighs about 3oz each. She told me not to count cals and just measure and so far so good. I weigh 207.2
  2. I don't have any pain when I drink coffee but I do have to drink it over a period of time. It takes me about 1 hour to drink 1 cup of coffee because if I drink it to quickly it makes my stomach gurgle a lot. Coffee taste so yummy but I try to limit it to once a week because it screws with my anxiety and weight loss. Try drinking it again in a couple of days and see if the pain comes back.
  3. Whenever I take antibiotics or pain meds for a day or two, I end up with oral thrush. It sucks so bad and is digusting. The thing that helps get rid of it for me is rinsing my mouth out with vinegar or eating yogurt. The vinegar works right away because it makes it to where you can peel the patches or scrape them off your tongue. The yogurt takes about 2 days to work but it eventually restores the good bacteria in your mouth. Also when I eat low carb I get thrush lol. Also don't swallow the vinegar. Good Luck.
  4. I do find it hard to cook when I'm not hungry. I cook 90% of the time and I just eat a smaller portion of what I cook. I don't like pasta, rice, and bread but they do just fine without it and I'm not opposed to them eating it.
  5. That's weird he didn't recommend Isopure. I like the isopure dutch chocolate powder and it has only 2g of carbs and 50g of protein per serving. It's not as yummy as muscle milk but it taste way better than all the other that I've tried.
  6. This is good to know because we soooooo need your approval on what we should and shouldn't say to others lol
  7. When did I name call? Please show me. You've called me a liar, dishonest, etc. I was unaware that this was a formal debate group. I'm not derailing the discussion. I'm merely trying to understand who you are and why you are so judgmental of those who don't live the same way as you. Admit failure about what? I don't even think you know what you're talking about. I personally don't understand how a person could be so judgmental. You are extremely defensive and hell bent on telling people how much you disapprove of the way they live. Do you feel better about yourself?
  8. We also ALL make judgements everyday about what we will and wont share with others. You saying that you don't lie, is in fact a lie and I find it odd that you would deny this. How am I being sensitive for asking you a question? condescending much? You can easily not reply to my questions if you want and I am by no means forcing you to take part. What emotion are you sensing from me through your computer screen? I'm really intrigued that you seem to think that I'm sensitive, a liar, dishonest, lack integrity, etc. All because of one subject. What makes you think that you know who I am based on this discussion alone? You are dishonest and lying also when you say that you don't lie. I guess we're the same
  9. What makes you think that we don't live by the principles of honesty and integrity? You easily judge people because they choose to do the opposite of what you would do. Have you every tried to live by the principle of "live and let live?" or "do what's right for you?". You are so quick to judge a whole person based on one single topic.
  10. Louise-I find it odd that you would judge the "integrity" of a person based on one thing. This makes me extremely happy that I surround myself with open minded people who can see that everyone isn't perfect and that they aren't entitled to know everything about me and my personal life.
  11. I just tell them diet and exercise. Since my husband is in the military people come and go, so I'm always meeting new people and they don't really KNOW me or my weight struggles over the years. I guess I'm fortunate in that aspect. My long term friends know about my surgery but random people who I see now and then, I just say diet and exercise and they leave it alone. They've never pressed harder for an explanation and I usually change the subject to something else. I did meet a mom at my daughters cheer practice who mentioned that she had RNY a couple of years ago. I waited until everyone left and then I mentioned to her that I had sleeve surgery and we talked for a while about it. The other moms still don't know that I've had surgery and I plan to keep it that way. I guess it's on a "need to know basis".
  12. You asked for someone to show where you've cheated on your marriage. In MY marriage that would be cheating. You obviously have a open marriage and that's okay. My point was to prove that everyone is different and that certain things work for certain people. My point is that I'm not judging you for living your life differently than me but yet you feel the need to criticize mine and get all defensive when I post a link to one of your discussions where you've flirted or made it obvious that you would pursue other women even though you are married. I defended my position SEVERAL TIMES. I also stated several times in this discussion that I tell people that I watch what I eat and exercise but that reply isn't good enough for you because it's lying yada yada. As soon as the discussion dies down, you come back in to fan the flames by saying "my idea of what to tell people is the truth. Why do I get attacked for that? ". We agreed to disagree on that but you were itching to get back into the discussion. You stir up the drama again with continuing to call people liars and implying that they lack integrity. Your opinion is your opinion. I prefer to live and let live.
  13. O.T.R.- http://www.verticals...hl__sex__st__40 Quotes from that thread "FYI, I'm STD free & had a vasectomy. And I'm mobile" "Yup, she (wife) knows everything." "I make trips to Ohio (wink)" I happened to remember this thread from a while ago. I'm not sure if you were joking around but it sure does seem like you'd be willing to hook up with people, even though you're married. To each their own. I also think I remember you making a comment about being able to do "house calls" since you travel a lot. Every marriage is different. That wouldn't work for my marriage but don't worry......... I wont force my beliefs on you.
  14. Um what makes you think that I would do that? You're taking this way too seriously. I am being honest! I'm living my life and not criticizing others. I also don't claim to be perfect. To each their own.
  15. It was a joke, relax. *sheesh*, it's Friday.
  16. Like I said a million times! It's not my responsibility to save every obese person in this world by sharing my story. What have you done for humanity other than being an online activist? Are you volunteering at homeless shelters? Are you helping unemployed people find work? You can share your story as much as you want but I choose who I want to share my story with and in the end I did this surgery for ME. I didn't sign up to be the spokes person for this surgery and I wont be shamed into feeling like I should be.
  17. That is YOUR OPINION! It is not a lie to say that I am watching what I eat and exercising. I never recommended for anyone to say what I say. I'm not upset, I said I felt like I was being attacked also. You're reading way too much into things if you think that some randoms persons opinion over the internet is affecting my life. I'm having a discussion with you and you are taking part in it. If you want to call me a liar, that's fine. Are you happy now? How does it feel up on that high horse?
  18. Why do you "care" about that? Does it affect you in some kind of way? Live and let live, maybe?
  19. We feel attacked also! We're being told that we're liars, dishonest, and lack integrity because we choose to keep our medical history private! If anything us people who choose to keep our surgery quiet, we've mostly said "to each their own" or "do what's right for you. How hard is it to respect that?
  20. I'm not being overly dramatic. You have called ALL of us liars.dishonest, and said that we lack the integrity that you have. You said these things. I'm just wondering how much more you plan to say about how perfect you are. Like I said a million times on this thread, I am being honest when I say that I'm eating smaller portions and exercising. It may not be what YOU want me to say but that's fine. ETA: plenty of people on here have also said that you act holier than thou.
  21. We get it! We're liars, lack integrity, and dishonest people. Did I leave anything out?
  22. So you just posted to tell us how perfect you are? Okay, got it *blah*. We get it.....you're perfect.
