  1. Sounds like a contact dermatitis. I get it when i touch raw shrimp. You may be touching something that is causing it
  2. I had h pylori. 2 weeks of 2 different antibiotics and prevacid high dose and i am cured. Usually, thats all it takes.
  3. Single incidion with the Davinci Robot?
  4. 5 optifast shakes a day for 12 days and clear liquids the 2 days immediately prior to surgery.
  5. Wow! Many healing thoughts and prayers. You'll do great. Waiting for my turn!
  6. Stuck, meaning difficult to digest, not stuck in your staples.
  7. My nut told me a trick when you eat something that is "stuck" or causes overfill or discomfort... Papaya enzymes, 2 tabs, and it chews up the food like a pacman and helps it through.
  8. Just on a perspective of the cold bothering you: cold causes vasoconstriction ( blood vessels contracting) and muscles to contract. It may just be that that is causing the pain. Stick to warm or room temp liquids and little sips should help a lot. (not sleeved, just an RN perspective)
  9. I have been eating stuff I have not had in a while and know I wont eat after I am sleeved.most of the time I feel like "eh, I won't miss it"
  10. When I was on a protein diet in the past (not sleeved yet), i would mix metamucil in my protein dring and blenderize with ice to make a thick milk shake. Kept me regular.
  11. My DH is a personal trainer (i never went to his classes because of having little kids and no help and too busy at home to try), he says weight training is the way to go.I have started pre op toning (i am making a concerted effort and he is being great about it...but TOUGH) i have started with 5 pound dumbbell 10 reps, 3 set of curls, the same for extensions. I am also doing 3 sets of 10 squats, holding on th the back pf a chair and rear leg lift bent at the knee. I cant do lunges yet due to bad knees and excess weight. It's a start, unfortunately I am laid up today with a stomach bug...of all things
  12. I had a breast lift after a previous significant weight loss. I always had saggy boobs, since young due to chronic yoyo diets. Now they are perky, but big at 42DD+, i figure when I get sleeved, I will deflate and sag again. Since this will be a permanent solution ( with hard work and support) i will likely get implants to a D if they get smaller than that ( i am 5'8" and can carry a D)
  13. Sounds illegal, , wish i was a techie
  14. 54 here. Not planning to tell my mom or dad. She is great and very protective, but very opinionated and controlling. I adore her at arms length because she has a way of saying hurtful things diguised in a joke or a " story". My dad will defend her no matter what. Over my lifetime i have had episodes of months and even years when we did not speak. She is nearly 76, and I don't want to go there again. So to answer your question, it depends on your personal relationship with her, what you feel comfortable with.

2 1/2 weeks to my last nut visit and insurance submission. I get more anxious every day. Will they deny me,? I meet the criteria, what if they want more info, what if I get a difficult insurance person. Sigh what if, what if, what if???????????
  16. As a visiting nurse, I never sit on upholstered chairs . I would rather stand. I bring clear plastic table clothes to cover movie seats for each of us, if my husband is succesful enough to drag me into a theater. I live in the woods, and I hate bugs! Lol
  17. Good info http://www.ct.gov/dph/lib/dph/environmental_health/eoha/pdf/bedbugs-rutgers.pdf
  18. No date yet. My last nut visit in Sept 6, they promised to file eith Fed BCBS by the next day. Hoping for an early oct date in Norwalk Ct with Fairfield Bariatrics, dr Craig Floch.
  19. I don't think the op was eating there, just picking up videos. But there are red boxes in most grocery stores, why even go near a Mc D? Not a fan of htier foor, or the way it smells, and I am not even sleeved yet.
  20. As we say in Puert Rican: Guao!! ( wow)
  21. I worked as an RN in their ER in the mid 80s. My son and his wife had their Baby there last December, my mom broke her ankle in the hospital doorway on the way to see her great grand baby being born and ended up in the ER the same day. i was not impressed by their nursing care. I hope it is better for you.
