  1. I had plantar facitis and went the normal medical route for 9 months. In the end it was daily stretching and 6 acupuncture treatments that healed mine (no pun intended) seriously there is still considerable debate in the world of podiatry about what PF is (Is it inflammation? Recent research says no.) life is a journey, not a destination; so, stop running -H.D. THEROUX
  2. I'm on liquid the day before surgery. No magnesium! life is a journey, not a destination; so, stop running -H.D. THEROUX

  8. I'm in Portland-metro. Sleeve coming up on 7/25! Yikes!! life is a journey, not a destination; so, stop running -H.D. THEROUX
  9. I am pre-op so Idk what I'm talking about as this relates to the life of a sleeved; yet, it occurred to me, so I thought I'd mention it. Currently, the right amount if exercise regulates my hunger. If I don't exercise, I don't eat well or make good choices. If I over do it, I'm super hungry later. Made me wonder if looking at your exercise would help? life is a journey, not a destination; so, stop running -H.D. THEROUX
  10. Your three and four year olds are cracking me up! life is a journey, not a destination; so, stop running -H.D. THEROUX
  11. Now i'm wondering if any one did not tell their kids? What was your reasoning? This is helpful. Thank you!!!
  12. Whoopee! My info packet came today: one preop appt, super limited lab (CBC CMP), and a 24 hour liquid diet! I'm stoked (and freakin out). Kinda makes up for the 6 months of NUT. life is a journey, not a destination; so, stop running -H.D. THEROUX
  13. My kids are young at 3 and 8. What did you say to your kids? What did they say/do in response? Just to be clear, but hopefully not too forward, I'm not asking what you think I should tell my kids. More like I find my thinking takes shape when I have the honor reading your stories. life is a journey, not a destination; so, stop running -H.D. THEROUX
  14. Watermelon sounds hydrating but I just read that it is a natural diuretic!!!! Not so good for hydration. I can have sweet potato in week four. There is an organic, canned version (for pies I'm sure) at Whole Foods and year around. It's very thin and silky. My kids eat it. I find it other places only at the winter holidays. life is a journey, not a destination; so, stop running -H.D. THEROUX
  15. I'm the 25th, too! In Portland with Emma Patterson. I'm a newbie here. (Still lurking a lot while I figure out how this forum works.) OMG, It's JULY 1st!!!
  16. This is my first post! After years of consideration and then a six month medically supervised diet, I'm scheduled for sleeve on July 25th in Portland, OR with Emma Patterson. These forums are really helping my mental preparation. Game On! (Where's the spell check?)
