  1. Welcome to all November sleevers! I am sure we are all going to be a great support to each other.
  2. Thank you!!!! I was starting to feel a little misunderstood...lol!
  3. I think u are trying to be helpful but you seem to be blowing this out of proportion. I was trying to be funny and get some opinions but I guess I should have just asked the question and left out the rest. I do understand very well want is in front of me I am a operating room nurse so I know there isn't going to be a magic wand waved over me. But everyone is very different and I wanted to hear what others have experienced.
  4. No dont get me wrong I certainly do not want to wish sickness on myself. I am only kidding....kinda. I just find myself wishing for every possible advantage with my sleeve. I'm being sleeved in November and I read so my post ops that said they can't eat dairy, cheeses, or ICE CREAM because they make me sick, and I find myself thinking...I hope that's me. I can't even go into a fast food resturant because the smell makes me sick.....I hope that's me. I can't eat any sweets because they are way to sweet now.....I hope that's me. I'm not hungry at all......I.hope that's me. My tastes changed after surgery and I don't crave the things I used to anymore....I hope that's me. I'm not crazy and I am not wishing to be sick all the time but I love food! I look to cook! That's how I got this way and I want every advantage of this tools to help me not sabotage myself. Am I alone? Did any if you postopers feel this way before? How is your hunger Nd cravings now? I just wonder how may of your tastes changed after surgery?
  5. Me too! Just yesterday! Yeah November sleevers!
  6. Hilarious!! I feel the exact same way!!! Here's hoping it works for us! **fingers crossed**
  7. Hi im on the eastern shore of Maryland I'm having surgery with Dr. Sofronski on November 20th!!! Can't wait!
  8. Dr. Sofronski, salisbury, Maryland he is great and he is the medical director for the center of excellence.
  9. Best of luck tomorrow! I hope u have a speedy recovery. I haven't had surgery yet, but my friend has and she tells me it is totally different postop and for her it was so much easier because she didn't want anything. The preop liquid diet was the hardest part and u have that behind you! Good luck!
  10. It's not just you. I feel the same way! I feel like of course I will lose weight but could I possibly lose 100+ lbs like I want to. I can't imaging what that would be like. And I can't imaging myself as a petite person. I'm am 5'3". So I would like to lose 100-125 lbs. I think I am scared to picture that as a reality because of the fear of failure.
  11. Welcome November sleever! It will be great for all of us to support each other!
  12. Wow!! Congrats! That's great I hope I am as lucky as you!
  13. Sorry just saw ur message! I'm in Somerset county on the Eastern shore. Dr. Sofronski is my Dr.
  14. Hi! I'm Kelly also 37 years old from Maryland. I am schedule for November 20th so no thanksgiving dinner for me this year but that's ok! I am hoping it will be well worth it! I have struggled with my weight my whole life. I did at one time lose almost 80 lbs on the adkins and kept it off for 1 1/2 years but as soon as I fell off the wagon I gained it all back plus some. I am putting all my hope into this surgery that it will work for me and enable me to keep the weight off forever. November can't get here soon enough for me!
  15. Welcome! No thanksgiving dinner for me either this year...I'm on the 20th but I'm ok with that it will be worth it!

  17. I agree I have got to get in the right frame if mind. It will only benefit us in the long run. What ever we lise before we will be ahead of the game. We can be a great support for each other!
