  1. Congrats to you! My surgery is tomorrow! Best of luck!
  2. Looking forward too... Walking more than a 100 yards without looking for a place to sit down. Fitting back into some of my old colthes I still have. Being able to do more for my kids. Cleaning my house without having to take multiple breaks. oh....and this one is a bit shallow...lol Being able to get up on stage and STAND and sing again. I'm a rocker at heart...lol.
  3. Mine is Tuesday the 3rd, less than 48 hours!!! I'm scared but excited as well, more afraid of the pain after then the actual procedure itself. But some folks say its not to bad. I am so lucky, my friends had a pool party for me yesterday, even though I could not enjoy cocktails with them and stuff from the grill. The overwhemling support they showed me brought tears to my eyes. I am a lucky guy.
  4. I'm getting banded on Tuesday the 3rd of July, and I have the same concerns you do. I have been on a liquid diet for two weeks now and I am not sure if I have lost any weight at all since I'm too heavy for a regular scale. All you can do is tap down the fear and move on. I've been 90% faithful to my liquid diet, I did slip and have a piece of chicken breast a few days ago. I can only hope for the best. I wish you sucess with your procedure....best of luck!
  5. I worried about passing mine. Some weird questions in there. But if by taking yours, you have discovered something you did suspect. That is a good thing.
  6. I doing my best not to cheat on the post-op diet, but I have to admit I did eat a small piece of baked skinless chicken breast. I felt shakey and figured it was the least damaging thing I could have. I hope it will be easier after the surgery.
  7. I'm getting banded on July 3rd. Did my last test this last Monday, chest x-ray, and thats all I had left to do. I have overwhelming support from my friends, I've had no one say it was a bad idea. On the day of my surgery I might have a small army waiting for me when I get out...lol. That's what keeps me going!
  8. I'm sure it just nerves, as I had only 1 surgery in my entire life and that was a long time ago. Being such a big dude, I'm just worried. I tell myself to stop fretting over it. But I'm gonna grit my teeth and get it done. I feel its my only option as this point, the gastric bypass scares the hell out of me. TOO many complications!
  9. Getting my band on July 3rd and I can't help but to be scared. Anyone having this irrational fear of something happening to them? Plus, I'm 1 week into my two week liquid pre-op diet and I feel like I want to chew my own arm off! Sigh.
