My doctor pulled them off at my post op appt 6 days later

I was banded on sept 11. My follow up was today. I have lite burning when I use a heating pad or bend down to quickly. But my doctor told me it was ok. I don't have any redness around it.

I had my surgery yesterday and had no gas pains in my shoulders. But today I have bad gas pains in my stomach. I'm not sure what your feeling in the chest but it is definitely hard to take deep breaths here. The heating pad has been working great.

Made it home. Everything went well. My lower back was the worst pain but with drugs lol it's fine now. Also had a hernia repair. Thanks for the prayers.

Just arrived at the hospital (my surgery got pushed back two hours). I'm nervous as heck. Please say a prayer for me.

Hi guys! My surgery was rescheduled for tomorrow at 8am ( do to hurricane Isaac). I an nervous and excited at the same time. My question is do anyone recommend anything that I should bring with me to the hospital?

I'm in the same boat. Mine was going to be tomorrow. I'm at the hospital doing my pre-op. it's rescheduled for Thursday the 30th. Did u get a new date?

Thanks Essie5!!! Hearing this really helps me out a lot. Over 100 pounds is awesome! I know this is right for me but was just questioning the long term risks like slippage and erosion.

So, I had my consent signing appointment today! In the visit, my doctor tried to talk me out of having the lapband and into gastric bypass or the sleeve. My response was I don't want to have anything in my body rerouted or taken out. I asked him why. He states because they have the least complications in the long run. My question is has anyone doctor advised them of such? And, do anyone with the lapband now regret not choosing another weightloss option?

My final clearance is this Friday. I'm nervous, excited, and ready to get things started. Good luck!

Thanks for all of the positive support! It is nice to know I'm not alone in this fight! I will start my own pre-op to help maximize my results!

I've finally been approved after a looong wait! I'm so excited! Now, have to wait until next Friday for my visit to the Doctor to get a schedule date. But, I'm still thankful. Plus, I'm not on a pre-op diet!

What part of Mississippi? I'm getting banded in Slidell LA. I don't have my date yet but it should be in August. Just waiting for the approval!

Hello All! This is my first Blog! Yay me! lol But, I must say this site has really helped my with many questions that have been floating in my mind. Tomorrow, I have the last of my test done and then on to the submission to my insurance. I hoping all goes well the first time! So may be I will be banded in late July or early August! I look forward to interacting with many of you and hope to find a buddy to share this experience with!
