I AM STILL ON MY POST OP DIET AND I AM CRAVING pizza. ITS MY BIGGEST WEAKNESS. I KNOW I CAN'T EAT IT ALL THE TIME BUT WILL I BE ABLE TO EAT IT SOMETIMES? IS THERE CERTAIN KINDS THAT HAVE BEEN EASIER FOR PEOPLE? IS THERE AN ALTERNATIVE THAT IS EASIER TO EAT OR HEALTHIER THAT WILL SATISFY MY CRAVING? THANKS EVERYONE!

IVE TRIED BLENDED SOUPS AND IT TAKES THE TASTE RIGHT OUT. I COULD TRY THE REFRIED BEANS.

The chinese place by my house offers steamed options. Where the chicken and veggies aren't made in any oil or sauces. The brown sauce comes on the side. Just don't eat the rices and sparingly use the sauce. That's my favorite choice!

Did any of u blend your soups? I have been because I was under the impression I needed too. But does it go down okay without? I would rather not, as it takes away all the flavor!! Thanks!

I slept in bed the first night. Found a position that worked & stayed there. I'm on day 3 & it's getting a lot easier. I have port pain still but other than that healing pretty well. Good luck!

I feel do much better this morning! No nausea and the has subsided! ???Im staying away from yogurt & pain meds today! lol.

It just started today after taking that medicine and eating some yogurt. I'm skipping the pain med tomorrow and if it continues I'll call.

I have those and been taking them. I am more worried about the nausea and trying to keep from throwing up.

I am having it too. Do u feel nauseated too?

I am wondering now if the nausea is due to the gas. I go to the bathroom cause I feel like in going to throw up and then I kinda have an action but its a big burp. Sorry but trying to find out if this is all normal.

Okay so today has been a lil more rough. Woke up real early since sleeping on back is tough. Got out of bed around 6:30AM and moved to the recliner, which helps A LOT. I would be lost without the recliner. Had some hot tea and then had some of my pain med..the lortab elixir. Basically liquid vicodin. Been nauseated today though....Is it from the gas or the pain med? Both? Ugh, I trying really hard not to vomit. I am now afraid to take any more of the pain med. We will see how it goes tomorrow. I just keep telling myself its only up from here!!! Thank you for listening!!!!!

I can finally post in the "POST OP" surgery section because I MADE IT!!! Just got home from surgery a couple hours ago! I got to the hospital super early 6AM, I couldn't have gotten there about 7:30 or 8, but irrelevant. I registered, got in my room, nurse came and gave my IV. I was able to watch TV and talk with my family for a while. About 9AM they rolled me down to pre-op. I met with my OR nurses, surgeon and CRNA. Everyone was so nice and helpful. I rolled into the OR about 9:45ish. The surgeon went and talked to my mom and said the procedure took about 43mins. CRAZY. I received some dilaudid in post-op and it SO helped with the pain. I didn't and still don't feel that gas feeling...Will it come later?! After I got to my recovery room, I had some juice, ice chips, went to the bathroom and then was ready to go home! I was out of there by 1:00PM! I am home now and resting comfy on my recliner. I have been drinking gatorade and ready to try some Soup. I was a lil nauseated in the hospital but that has gone away and I actually have kind of an appetite. I will be on a liquid diet for the next week and will do a follow-up next Tuesday! I really psyched myself up for the WORST! Pain, nausea...all that. I really feel great and just sore. I am SO happy I have done this. Can't wait to heal and focus on my weight loss! LOVE YOU ALLL for being so supportive. I can't wait to share more with you as it comes! I hope sharing this part will help someone who has anxiety like I did! Time to enjoy some shows, soup and this CRAZY warm, stormy Chicago weather!!

I did it!!! I am finally banded and I think I am doing pretty well!!!! I am going to start a new thread in the post-op section

Aww Kerri, I am SO sorry! I couldn't imagine waiting another week. I can't wait to have this anxiety over. They thought I had a UTI as well. Just stay strong and not much longer!!! We can still lean on each other and maybe I can be some help since i'll be one week ahead. So sorry girl, and just keep thinking positive! I'm here if you need to vent!

DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS INSURANCE AND BEEN BANDED YET? I WAS JUST WONDERING WHAT THE PORTION YOU HAD TO PAY WAS. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT MY BALANCE IS GOING TO BE AFTER. NOT THAT I CARE, I WILL PAY MONTHLY WHAT I CAN TIL ITS PAID. ITS ABOUT MY HEALTH NOT MONEY! BUT IT WOULD BE NICE TO KINDA HAVE AN IDEA! LOL. THANKS EVERYONE! ASHLEY
