  1. i just had a revision from a sleeve to roux en y and yes i can hear everything. i also feel things moving through. Has anyone else had this experience?
  2. I was sleeved on 4/23 and I'm okayed for all foods but I had my sleeve remind me that it's boss when I got excited about some grilled shrimp. It came up and my stomach hurt for the next day and a half. I've learned my lesson and completely backed off of meats. Had a half of a veggie burger w/ cheese and ketchup and mustard (no bun) and even that was a little uncomfortable going down. I have had a love affair with sugar free popsicles and had the audacity to try a low sugar "creamsicle" which did not agree with me either. I feel like a kid who keeps sticking her hand toward the cookie jar only to get it smacked! The only real cheat I've had was a corner of my daughters pound cake which stayed down and a half of a cracker with a soft cheese spread... Living and learning...
  3. Thanks for posting. The emotional component of this journey is so serious that I wasn't prepared for these emotional bouts I've been having myself. I cook for my family and it is pure torture being on liquids only. I can't wait to start mushies so I can at least have a plate at dinner. Sometimes I just walk away from the table b/c I'm so frustrated. Reading the posts makes me feel semi normal again so (one more time) Thanks for posting. :-)
  4. Thanks everyone. I have slown down and adjusted the temp which helped a little but by far the ice chips are working. It was 107 degrees today and the ice chips were the best!
  5. I'm gonna call my family back in the US and see if I can get them to send me some. Thanks!
  6. I am 8 days postop and I'm on all liquids. Even though I can drink many different liquids without any reflux or problems... Plain water still makes me cough up this... foam...? Its white and foamy and I was told post op it was just anesthesia but now my doctors concerned and I have to suffer through an Endoscopy (you know the camera down your throat...) Any ideas or suggestions what this is about or what I can do to make water more tolerable b/c if this doesn't improve I can't move on to soft foods and I REALLY want to move on... Not to mention that I live in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi which, as some know, is in the MIDDLE of the DESERT. So water's kinda important... Please HELP!!!
  7. I was sleeved on Monday as well and I can say that its improving but I'm still extremely slow moving and slow recovering. You all are so lucky to be on broth and jello I only get water (bleh) apple juice and tea...
