Fruit Anyone?
My eating plan excludes fruit for 1 year. It is VERY hard!

Firestone- Unitedhealth Care.
All you need to do is call the # on your card and ask. Some companies cover the procedure but certain employers exclude all forms of bariatric surgery. You will want to call them and ask if they do cover bariatric surgery, and what you need to do to qualify. Make notes of who you talk too and what they say. Insurance can be tricky- but once you find out the info you need approval should be easy as long as you have your ducks in a row. Good luck!

My goal weight is 160. I'm 5' 2" and 33 years old. I'd like to be a size 10-12. I know it's on the high side- but that was the lowest weight I remember being in HS. Currently I'm 6 days pre op- weighing in at 270. My HW was 330 last August. I'm trying to lose another 10 lbs pre op- so I will have 100 lbs to go after surgery.- Trying To Find Protein
- Im In A Pre Op Diet Funk!
Day 6 pre op diet- and I have to say my hormones are raging- Im feeling grumpy and for the first time in this process feeling scared. My husband was not 100% on board with WLS so I promised myself I would shut my mouth and not complain about missing eating- I feel like I have no right to be upset because this was my choice and I have to live with it. I just don't like feeling scared when I know this is what I NEED and WANT. I need to get out of this funk.- From Approval To Surgery
Approved July 23- scheduled for surgery August 17 for me. It took about 2 weeks for the office to call to schedule me once I was approved.- Day One Down
Day 5 for me here! it's hard but has been worth the hunger for me!- Gallbladder And Vsg
Thanks everyone! I'm glad that is getting taken care of sooner than later! Just hope it doesn't prolong my recovery much- maybe a little extra time off work will be all I need to feel 100% again.- Gallbladder And Vsg
So I had an ultrasound today of my gallbladder and apparently it's full of gallstones. The tech was surprised I had not had any known issues or attacks. This means my gallbladder will be removed at the time of surgery. I know this is common- what kind of recovery am I looking at for both the removal of my stomach and gallbladder? - Pcos (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) And The Sleeve
