So after all the hard work I had to do to get an approval, my lovely husband gets fired from Fedex yesterday. Therefore, we also lost our health insurance as of today. :( :( He was told he could get COBRA and pay the full premium....which is fine, the problem is....I will have to resubmit my claim and get an approval. I don't think im that lucky. Soo sad...I jus want to cry and never get out my bed.

I am in the same situation as polandspring. I haven't told my dad about the surgery because he will not support it. When I was 19, I had breast reduction surgery in the Dominican Rep and it was bad. I cought a bacteria there and it wasnt looking good. I saw my dad cry and i dont want to see that again. I will not tell him until I am home and feeling good. I just hope nothing bad happens.....I'm praying!! I have my husband who supports me, my mom and my friends.

I want to buy Nectar so bad! I think I will order it online. But i can deal with Isopure...Today is my first day on the liquid diet so lets see what I think tomorrow.....

I got it from GNC.

I was really looking for Nectar, but they didnt have it. So I went with Isopure, not bad at all. I still want to try Nectar. I heard its pretty tasty.

Isopure protein shake is really good! I really can drink this no problem. Cookies and cream is my favorite. Yummy.

I start my pre op diet tomorrow. Today was my birthday so I ate everything I wanted to eat because that's it!!!!!! My new lifestyle starts July 3rd. Im so nervous now.....this is real...its really happening!

My PCP is not a fan of WLS at all. He asked me to leave his office if I wanted to proceed with this. He knows of one patient who had complications and died. So, I did exactly as he told me; I picked up my chart and left. I found a GREAT doctor who is supportive of the surgery. Don't let anyone hold you back. If he doesnt clear you for surgery, move on and find someone who will do it. Good luck to you and keep us posted.

I am having my surgery on the 17th and I get this fear and start crying sometimes. I have a 23 months old baby and it scares to death that if something happens to me he will not have his mom. However, I am doing this for him. I want to live a long life so I can enjoy him. I have a great doctor, so I know in good hands. I think its 'normal' to feel scared....so think about the reason why you are doing this and leave it on God's hands.
