  1. SURE! Actually they want you to walk so you don't get blood clots. Walking is a great low impact exercise.
  2. Ask your surgeon but mine told me to wait a month after surgey to start the gym and running.
  3. Tomorrow I will offically graduate from C25K! I downloaded 5K to 10K. Cant wait to start next week! :-)
  4. Hey everyone...I suppose, I have a stupid question...but I'm going to ask it anyway. So last Thursday I went in for my 1 month post-op visit. The DR cleared me to exercise. Since then I've been at the gym everyday doing 1hr cardio (couch to 5K and either elliptical or stair master) I alternate weights every other day. Since I started the gym I have not lost weight. I was losing every week up until this week. I actually gained a lb. :-( I'm kinda bummed and worried that I'm going to fail. I called the DR but they didn't return my call. I guess I just want to know if this is normal, or if anyone has experienced this and if I should not go to the gym until I get to goal? Thx is advance...Jess :-)
  5. @ Bruce....You will do great! @ Track....Wow you are doing great. I had to wait a month before my Dr said I could workout. Your doing great keep it up. Sept is right around the corner.

  12. Hey guys....so I was banded July 10, 2012 and am post op a moth and a week. I am down 35 lbs so far. So I went back to work today after being out a month and someone said "hey there skinny" and another person said "flaca" which in spanish is skinny. I was sooooo stoked! LOL thats something I have never been called! I can wait to get down to 100lbs down. Thx for listening...xoxo
  13. Hey Bruce....I remember that liquid diet! I had to do it for 2 weeks pre op. I definitly understand your pain. After the 1st week you will be ok...it becomes a habit. Good luck on your journey. :-)
  14. HELP! I am so worried....Im scheduled to banded on July 10, 2012. As of today, the insurance has NOT contacted me or the Dr's office in regards to an approval. I am so afraid that they are going to say NO. I am even having dreams about being refused. :-(...Has anyone else gone through this? Jess
