  1. It took them 7 days and I was approved! So excited!!
  2. I called everyday for four days. On the day I decided not to call ( on Friday), my surgeons office called to say I was approved. Funny, huh? It only took one week! Now waiting on surgery date! I'm so excited and nervous all rolled into one!
  3. How long did it take them to approve once everything was submitted?? I'm anxiously waiting!!!
  4. Thanks! I'm on pins and needles waiting!!
  5. My surgeons office submitted all the paperwork Thursday afternoon for approval. How long should I wait before I start calling the insurance company?
  6. Has anyone had problems with insurance denying for failure to lose weight on the supervised diet prior to surgery? That is the last thing I am waiting on and would hate to get denied because I didn't lose any and actually gained a few pounds!
  7. I'm hoping to have surgery in August. My last appointment for supervised diet and exercise is July 19th. That is all the surgeons office is waiting on to submit for insurance approval! Fingers crossed that Everything goes as planned!
  8. I have BCBS fep and the lowest they will approve it is 35 with at least 1 co-morbidity. They all have different requirements though.
  9. I too am in the same situation. Although I do have mild diabetes (no meds). I am curious...Did insurance cover your surgery? I am in the beginning stages and have not yet submitted to insurance but I feel anxious wondering if they are going to approve the surgery or not. They may say that my diabetes is not bad enough or something.
