I went through it too!!! Trust me it will get better!!! Those first few days are filled with regret but little by little you will start to feel better. Try to keep up with your liquids intake its very important. in a couple of days I will be celebrating my first month post op!! I thought I'd never get better and I did!!!! Almost back to normal 100%!! (22lbs Down) hang in there it'll get better!!!!

Omg that's so scary!!!! ( god forbid) I'm sorry you had to go through that! But I'm glad everything is better now!

Aww that sucks!!! I have read there are alternatives for lasagne once you reach the purée stage! Trust me I can't wait to get there! I love applesauce and I can't wait to eat some again lol!!! Little by little I believe we will be able to overcome this, the beginning is always hard! Everything should be getting better soon

Hey everyone, so I'm 1week and 4days in and I feel so hungry!!! I'm sick and tired of liquids already!! I thought I wasn't supposed to feel hungry.. Does anyone else have this issue?

Hey everyone! So I finally got sleeved on 09/19 and omg! I can say that those initial 3 days were hands Down the worst days of my life! I'm just so thankful that I am alive and that evrything is ok. No complications occurred , but those gas pains were out of this world!!! I have a question for you all, thankfully I am feeling much much better , but, I've noticed that when I drink I feel very strange inside. It feels warm, bubbly , and somewhat painful , in a matter of seconds it's gone . It feels like heartburn but it occurs right below my breast, not the chest area .I was just wondering if anyone has had this happen to them.. If so, please share some info with me thsnks

Am scheduled to have surgery Tuesday September 4th. But on Thursday I got a call from the receptionist @ the Doctors office saying they have to cancel the surgery because I won't get approved by tuesday! I was confused since i had recieved a letter of approval from my insurance company a month prior to the surgery date and I SHOWED it to them when I went for my preop testing that previous Friday. She said she didnt remember so yesterday morning I re faxed EVERYTHING!!! I got a call from my doctor yesterday afternoon saying he will keep me on his schedule for Tuesday but pushed me back, to be his second case just in case the insurance company approves it that same morning! This uncertainty is driving me crazy!!!!!!! :_( :_(

Good evening everyone!!! So I got "THE CALL" this afternoon!!!!! My surgery is scheduled for September 4th ,BUTTT my insurance company had yet to approve it! It kinda bummed me out! Have any of you guys been through this? If so, what was the outcome?

Hi Gelen, Thanks for the response! I seriously can't wait to have this surgery done!! Dr. Koshy seems to be a terrific doctor and I've heard a lot about Dr.Texiera.. I got a call today for my surgery date 09/04/12!!!!!!! I'm super excited! But not too much since the insurance STILL hasn't approved it! I pray to GOd that they do!!!!

Wow it's so inspiring to read these posts, especially coming from girls in my age range. I am 24 years old and I can't wait to have my surgery done and start living my life!

Kathy, thank you so much for taking the time to welcome me! I am experiencing all those feelings! I'm so close to having a new ( and hopefully better life) that I just want to get it done already! Lol have you gotten a surgery or are you planning to have it done?
