  1. I drank a few sips and it went down... Just the chest pain/ nausea is still here
  2. So this morning has been so unusual. I woke up at 9am made a cup of coffee at 9:30 with sugar free creamer and finished that at around a 11am had a cheese stick which went down fine...11:45 decided I needed just a lil bit more coffee today to fight the tiredness, literally took like maybe 5 sips of it and put it down. Started getting major stuck like feelings and super nauseous. Went to bathroom and for 10minutes dry heaved and burped??? Nothing came up...now still having chest pain and laying down feeling like I will be sick again if I move around too much. What Is this? I was banded 6/28 and had my first fill 7/25 although still hardly anything in band bc the doc as they were going to go super slow with me bc after surgery when I did swallow test the water wouldn't even pass through... Do I need to go to er?? Kinda scared it hurts bad in my chest and not sure how I could be stuck when I really didn't eat anything?!?
  3. Starting weight 227- banded on 6/28 have lost 16lbs including pre op diet so far and goal is to be under 200 by 8/23 which is my birthday.
  4. Banded on 6/28 and just in the last two or 3 days I have been feeling totally back to normal. Also jut started mushy food so think that may be helping!?!
  5. Only 2 1/2 weeks out still and using my fitness pal app and only eating/ taking in about 800calories a day? Does this sound right?
  6. Banded on 6/28 also! My dr has me where I can have sf pudding and yougurt this week and then on Thursday I can start mushy foods so looking for ideas too. They told me I can have runny oatmeal and potatoes and such on the mush phase but after this they want me to start avoiding these. Some of the ideas the list they gave me say chili w/ turkey meat, poached or sauteed fish cooked, string cheese, cottage cheese, soft scrambled eggs, boiled eggs mashed, mashed pinto or black beans, unsweet applesauce and mashed bananas. Any other ideas? Kinda scared of chicken salad/ tuna to start with just because seems like it might not be soft enough to go down unless I really mash it and use an exorbitant amount of mayo which will defeat the purpose....
  7. I was banded 6/28 and didn't even leave the house for the first 5 days. First 4 days literally took the pain meds and slept. Everytime I was awake I would do laps around the house to get in my walking. Gas x strips really do help. I also took miralax twice starting on day 3 an that seemed to relieve some pressure ect.... It does get better I am basically back to normal now on day 10! Hang in there!!!
  8. Ok thanks for the advice. Hadn't thought about me drinking too fast but maybe I am...I will try and sip slower. That is hard super hard for me to get used to especially with this Texas summer heat.
  9. 7 days since being banded and still on all liquids tomorrow can switch from clear liquids but still all liquids for another week....Anyways constantly the last few days getting horrible hiccups?? They have been painful other then today (starting to heal) because I feel like my stomach is going to rip open. Anyone else have hiccup problem?
  10. I think that sounds like an average amount to loose. I was just banded 3days ago but my dr told me not to set unrealistic expectations for myself that a good but still going to be difficult goal would be 65lbs in 1yr....
  11. Getting banded on Thursday 6/28 and also starting to get really nervous!
  12. Aww that stinks! Happy birthday!!!! Just think about how great you will look & feel next year
  13. I think I am kinda detoxing from caffeine because I didn't stop soda until just a day before the pre op diet. Although I have still been having coffee in the morning, but my np said that I was allowed one cup a day even if it was a 16oz...but just no creamer a splash of skim w/sweetener. Today the headaches have been somewhat better but still struggling.
  14. Horrible headaches, anyone else? On day 3 of my two week protein shake/ veggie diet also can have sf popsicles, broth & sf jello. I keep getting horrible headaches and am basically having to take Tylenol non stop...also keep feeling nauseous and weak. Hoping these feelings dont last the entire time. I have been drinking water in abundance and still feel like i have dry mouth and just can't seem to get enough of it. Any advice??
