  1. The thing that has helped me most has been using Myfitnesspal. I log all my food in everyday and it keeps track of calories, fat, carbs, etc. If you haven't checked it out yet I would strongly suggest looking into it.
  2. Thanks again everybody!! Not sure how to take all the compliments though..lol. It feels weird!
  3. Thanks everyone! It feels good knowing I'm on my way!
  4. That's great news!! Congrats!
  5. I used a heating pad and walked around a lot, but I hear a lot of people say gas strips were really helpful. Good Luck!
  6. That's neat Donna12! We are walking this journey almost side by side...lol. I just seen my surgeon today and got my 6th fill. Hoping this one is THE ONE...lol! Congrats to you too!! BTW...you should post some pics too! If I can post my marshmallow girl one I'm sure you can post yours...lol.

  8. Celebrating 6 months since surgery this month and wanted to share my first set of pics. I CAN NOT believe I'm posting these, but I'm starting to feel more comfortable with myself and decided to just do it! What a difference 52 pounds makes!! I looked like the marshmallow girl and didn't even realize it!!! lol! The first pic is at my starting weight of 299 before surgery. Then the 2nd pic is 3 months in and the last is 6 months and weighing 247.
  9. Welcome back! Good luck on your new journey!
  10. I use Myfitnesspal and it is great! You can log your food and it keeps track of the calories, fat, protein...etc. You can also add friends and encourage each other along this journey. Highly recommend using it.
  11. That is awesome! 100lbs in a year!! I hope to say that one day. Good luck on the next 50!
  12. Congrats to you both!! I will say a prayer for your Mom and you too. Best wishes.
  13. I used a heating pad often...lol. It helped me. Day 5 and 6 were the worst for me. I think it was a combination of lack of food and being mentally and physically drained. Just be ready if things might seem worse a few more days from now. I promise it gets better.
  14. Great news! This is such an exciting time for you. Read up as much as you possibly can. Everything helps...believe me. Somethings you might not understand completely, but it will all begin to come into focus as you move forward on your journey. Good Luck to you.
  15. Congrats! This is just the beginning!
  16. Welcome! Good Luck on your journey!
  17. Wow....this is the first time I am hearing about a doctor putting that much in at surgery. I would think its too much, but you won't really be able to tell until you start eating solids. Good luck to you.
  18. Yes...I think it will help. I began taking them only a month before surgery, but I could tell it was definitely helping after some time. I would recommend taking the highest amount your doctor will allow. Don't worry though....no one even noticed my hair loss...just me... :/
  19. I had some loss as well. I was told to take biotin pills everyday, but they don't start working until about 6 months down the road....lol wish someone would have told me sooner. :/
  20. Wow..you look really good. I hope to have after pics like yours.
  21. Wow.....you look amazing!! Great job!!
