    African American Sleevers

The dizzy spells could be due to dehydration or hypotension. I've been experiencing this for several months but found that once I up my water and sodium intake, I'm ok.
  3. Although I check in from time to time, it's been over a year since my last post. I'd forgotten how inspiring and encouraging this site can be. I am down 103 pounds since my sleeve last April. There have been ups and downs and the feeling that I should have lost more at this point, nonetheless I remain committed to my decision to be sleeved. I have no regrets. I do need more discipline when it comes to exercise and am considering an arm lift for these wings :D Stay encouraged pe...

    1yr out Update

First off, congrats--wishing you continued success on this TOUGH journey. I found that my dizzy spells were the result of dehydration and hypotension. My doc suggested that I carry little packets of salt and of course, drink plenty of water-which I'm bad at.

Hello everyone. I am a new user, however, I have been reading the posts for a couple of weeks now. I, like some, have went back and forth with whether or not to undergo surgery for weight loss. After a visit to my doctor's office (I avoided him for a whole year), and finding that I was borderline diabetic and had hypertension, along with tipping the scales at 346 pounds, I decided enough was enough. I was sleeved on 4/23/12. Since I started my journey, I have lost 51 pounds My goal is 180-190 pounds, given I am 5'11". I am still struggling with my protein intake and I'm just incorporating semi solid foods into my diet. I realize I needed support from those who have gone through what I have and here I am I look forward to reading and sharing in everyone's success stories!!!

Thank you!!! Looking at your stats, you are doing terrific at only four months in! I agree re: this forum being a godsend. The support group meetings are inconvenient for me to get to and are only held once a month. Here, I feel I can get all the support I need, when I need it

    Help

They say to expect your stomach to be swollen for several days-mine was swollen for two weeks, so expect it to be swollen for some time. As far as gas goes, I see you posted six days ago. I'm hoping that by now you have passed gas. VERY uncomfortable I know. Without taking anything, I passed gas on the third day. Good luck!
