Hi, is there anyone who lives in or near Venus, Texas? I am a low BMI bandster and am getting down and very discouraged. I am sure I am not doing what I need to be doing. I need help. I need a buddy to push me in the right direction. I am sure I have started to put weight back on. Thanks Deborah

Hi, has anyone else gotten pain in their shoulder after eating. I think I may have eaten a little too much when this happens. It is just like the post op gas pains. Thanks, Deborah

Hi, I had my 4th fill on 11/1. Did good first 2 days with liquids and mushies. Now hard to keep things down. I do not know if I am just not eating slow enough or too big of bites. I do good in the mornings with my Vitamins, they all go down fine. I only got 0.25cc added to my band and the Doctor said I will notice a big difference. Any advice will help. Thanks, Deborah

Hi, I was banded on 6/28. I am feeling great but did anyone else feel like they were eating the same amount as before? I know it will change when I start getting fills, but just curious. Thanks, Deborah

Hi, I am 10 days post op and I was wondering if anyone has used Mederma on their inscisions or if it is even needed. Trying to minimize any scars. Thanks, Deborah

I agree, the diets vary so much. I think I would go crazy on clear fluids for so long. I was on clear fluids for only 2 days, Now on mushies, then tomorrow (1 week out) I can start softer solids like canned fruit and whatnot. Hoping at my check up on Friday, I can move on to regular foods. Deborah

Hi, I am 5 days post op and I keep feeling like I need to burp really bad. Nothing happens, and I am taking the gas x strips too. It really hurts. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Deborah

I was just banded on 6/28. If mine slipped and they offered that to me, I would jump at it. I think you have a few less restrictions with the sleeve.

Hi, I was banded on 6/28 so going through those brutal days now. Spend half the day today in the doctors office getting iv fluids because I was dehydrated and vomiting. Ready to experience better days soon. Good luck to you, Deborah

To continue from my 3rd day post op and not feeling well, my rant follows over to today. Still feeling bad, went back to the doctor, they took an xray and I am backed up. FOS is what the nurse said. LOL. I have been taking my milk of magnesia but nothing has happened yet. Ok sorry, I know TMI, but they were able to get some air out of the band from the sx, I did feel a little better, they gave me a steriod shot, had me drink a little of hot tea and they sent me home. Half way home I puked the tea on myself. (Not fun when you are driving down the highway.) Went back and spent 3 hours on IV fluids and some Zofran. Felt much better, but now that I am home, I am feeling nauseous again. Need to eat but dont want to. Please let me know if anyone has gone through this and if you have any advice. Sorry for the rant, thank you for reading. :-)

Hi, I was banded on 6/28 and that day I felt really good. Today I feel like I have to burp really bad when I stand up and I even ran to the bathroom 2 times today trying to vomit. Nothing comes up because I have not really eaten or drank anything. Please someone tell me this is normal and it will get better! I am taking my meds and put one of my antinausea rubs on a few hours ago. I took some advice and went and bought some Gas-X strips. That is when it made me want to vomit. I did feel like I was getting rid of some gas and did feel somewhat better afterward. But I go back to feeling the same way I was.

I was in at 8am and back home by 1230. I have actually taken 2 weeks off of work just because of what I do. I am a registered vet tech and alot of time has to do with lifting animals and trying to hold the ones who are struggling. I was banded on 6/28 and will return back to work on 7/13.

Glad to hear feeling better is just around the corner. Today is day 3 for me and I am sick of all these blended foods. I can barely eat anything. Cannot wait for the other 6 or so days to come!!

Hi. I am 48 hours post surgery, did anyone else feel great lying down but when you get up you feel like you need to burp really bad and cant? Almost to the point I want to throw up. Not really eating a whole lot either and I do feel hungry. Any help would be great.

Hi, I was banded this morning, I feel really good besides the obvious soreness. Already sick of beef broth though. LOL. Ready to get back into my size 6 jeans. I am now in a 14-16.

I am in the same boat as you. I have a bmi of 31.7 and had my band today. Feeling good. Cannot wait to get back into my size 6 jeans!! Struggling for a few years and could not lose any of the weight after infertility treatments and a pregnancy.
