  1. I have the same problem, it just feels like its sitting in my chest and isn't moving. And I know we aren't supposed to drink for 30 minutes after meals but all I want to do is chug water and force the food down. I've cries about it too. It's so depressing and definitely not easy to get used to
  2. I am 3 weeks post op and trying so hard to get calories in. I am cleared to have tender meat and ground meat, but every time I do I literally feel like I'm going to throw up. I need to sit there for about twenty minutes until the discomfort goes away. Has anyone else experienced difficulty like this? Does it ever get easier to eat?
  3. Every time I swallow water or my meds I get this horrible pain throughout my stomach and abdomen! It comes and goes but it's very sharp at first. Is this what everyone refers to as gas pains? I literally cringe when I feel them coming.
  4. Thank you everyone! Just hearing that I'm not alone and it will get better is encouraging. Today is day 3..hoping for a better day than yesterday!!
  5. Every time I have a Popsicle i feel so full and the water fills me up too. I am starting to get upset about this whole situation and questioning whether this is worth it. I just need to know its going to get better and it will be worth it. This pain is becoming too much and I wish it would just go away.
  6. Hi everyone, I had my VSG on Tuesday, August 14th so today makes me 2 days post op. I'm having a lot of trouble drinking any water at all and drinking the protein and taking my vitamins is a struggle. Has anyone experienced this? The surgeon says my stomach is still swollen and it's going to be rough at first but I don't want to risk dehydration or malnutrition!
  7. So my time has finally come! I am having VSG next Thursday! (8/16) I am beyond nervous. I've heard the first 2 days after surgery are the worst! Does anyone care to offer advice or suggestions? I need some words of encouragement and to help me relax!
  8. Sorry I realized I posted this in the success story section!!

  10. Hi everyone! I am having vsg on 8/16 and I'm already worrying about the loose skin issue. Does anyone have any recommendations that can help prevent or lessen loose skin? Exercise? Types is skin lotions? Thanks!!
  11. Hi ladies, Need some advice! I am taking oral birth control right now and really like it. I actually was recommended by my gyno to take it continuously so I skip my period (I get horrible PMS and cramping) so I only get my period about 4 times a year which is awesome! Has anyone been okay to take orals after surgery? I was told I may need the ring, but I cannot take that. I tried it before and had horrible and gross side effects. Can I have some input for oral BC after surgery? thanks!!!
  12. You look great!! Keep up the good work!
  13. Ahh you are all so awesome!! thank you for the kind words and support. It feels nice to vent to people who understand what I'm going through! Some people are just down right rude! And you all are right, jealousy is definitely apparent. Oh well, I don't have time for ignorance like that in my "new" lifestyle. I look forward to my new future!
  14. I was talking to my "friend" about my upcoming sleeve surgery. She was so negative and kept reiterating how I "could die" from surgery. Then she kept telling me how miserable I would be after surgery bc I could never eat normal again. In the same breath, she made a comment saying, "I mean if I could get WLS and have it covered by insurance I would probably do it too." why are people so negative and nasty?!?! Ugh!
