  1. Hi everyone! I am having vsg on 8/16 and I'm already worrying about the loose skin issue. Does anyone have any recommendations that can help prevent or lessen loose skin? Exercise? Types is skin lotions? Thanks!!
  2. I went to another dr, she recommended nuvaring or mirena. Finally, two options I can actually understand! Anyone have experience with mirena? I'm leaning more towards that if my insurance will cover it.
  3. I spoke with another OB/GYN and she recommended I go on the NuvaRing. She said the orals are absorbed differently and can cause blood clots post-op. Why can't I just get one right answer!! AHHH frustrated w/doctors!
  4. Ok so I went to the gyno today to discuss my upcoming sleeve surgery and she told me I can stay on the pill, but need to be extremely careful for 6-9 months post op. she recommended my partner uses condoms as a double barrier for the first 6-9 months. Has anyone else been told this or experienced a similar issue?
  5. Hi ladies, Need some advice! I am taking oral birth control right now and really like it. I actually was recommended by my gyno to take it continuously so I skip my period (I get horrible PMS and cramping) so I only get my period about 4 times a year which is awesome! Has anyone been okay to take orals after surgery? I was told I may need the ring, but I cannot take that. I tried it before and had horrible and gross side effects. Can I have some input for oral BC after surgery? thanks!!!
  6. You look amazing! Such a beautiful smile! Congrats on your success!
  7. You look great!! Keep up the good work!
  8. Ahh you are all so awesome!! thank you for the kind words and support. It feels nice to vent to people who understand what I'm going through! Some people are just down right rude! And you all are right, jealousy is definitely apparent. Oh well, I don't have time for ignorance like that in my "new" lifestyle. I look forward to my new future!
  9. I was talking to my "friend" about my upcoming sleeve surgery. She was so negative and kept reiterating how I "could die" from surgery. Then she kept telling me how miserable I would be after surgery bc I could never eat normal again. In the same breath, she made a comment saying, "I mean if I could get WLS and have it covered by insurance I would probably do it too." why are people so negative and nasty?!?! Ugh!
