  1. I had my band done 4-4-07 and I only told my wife and parents. I told my kids I was having a stomach surgery and just left it at that, they are 6 and 8 years old and they would not be able to keep quiet about it. But I have alot of friends that have been calling me since Wed. asking how I am doing, so someone must have let the cat out of the bag. But I was the same as you I do not want everyone watching me every time I eat and telling me horror stories they have heard. So good luck on keeping the secret. And also good luck on your surgery.
  2. I have Aetna and a BMI of 40 with no co-morbities, and was approved with no problem, all I had to do was go to a nutrition class once a week for 3 months that was provided by my Dr. To my surprise I had no troubles at all. I am to be banded April 4th.
  3. I am with Aetna Ins. and I had to go to a 3 month nutrition class, once a week and then they sent my info off to Aetna and it took about 30 days to be approved. That is just me it is different for other people. So all in all about 4 months for me.
  4. Is the 10cc band the most common band being used now.
