I have tried so many diets like everyone it never worked. That is why I am ready to be banded to help me lose this weight. Just scared for failure. You hear about it so just something I think everyone who has had this surgery has thought at least once.

Getting ready for the lap band! What's your favorite food or drink I should try for when I am all banded or even now. I love soda so i'm trying to cut that habit. Other than that I should be ok!

Its ok to be neverous. I havent even set my date for my surgery and i am scared beyond belief. I have a month left before i start my liquid diet. I wish you luck and just remember the reason you are on this journey! and plus you have all of us to help you through this

This is a hard one for me as well. I love root beer. It's a lot harder to stop drinking sodas than it was when I quiet smoking

My doc said the same. If I have a fatty liver he will stitch me up and make me wait.

I have a month left before I send everything in for approval. I am really hoping to be approved! I am 4'11 and 245 so my BMI is about 50 :'( I also have asthma. Which didn't really start until I gained alot of weight. I have to say this site is helping me a lot with getting myself ready. My biggest fear is failure but you never know unless you try.

I have mine pierced and have had them for 3 yrs. They do hurt of course when you get them done but I kinda think they help the sex life a little

Hi, I live in Cecil County Maryland. I am doing my pre op requirements as well. I will be banded in August. I can't wait. But would like to have someone to share stories with.

Thanks everyone!! I talk to my doc again tomr. I would rather the all liquid as well but mine is for a month. That might be hard. But I have to put my mind to it. I can do this

What kind of food can you eat on the liver shrinking diet? or is it all liquid? I know I have to stop being hard on myself I've made it this far and I want this so bad! I am ready to make this change and be healthy again

My insurance was the same I had to show proof. So I've been seeing a dietician once a month. I am on my fifth visit so only 1 more to go. But I must say I have learned alot as well as she has answered alot of my questions. To me it is helping me get ready.

I haven't scheduled my surgery date yet but 6/23/12 is when my nutritionist and I will talk about diet to shrink my liver. My doctor requires 1 month of this diet. I'm scared because for this last month I have been cheating and I want to make sure I can get myself back on track. Guess I just need some kind words to help me!
