  1. Terry, I'm glad you are losing again! I hadn't seen an updated ticker in awhile so I had wondered. Tyler's 3rd birthday party was a blast. We bounced in a bounce house all day and had tons of fun! I have lost another pound as of Monday :clap2: so I am very happy that things are moving along now. That makes 21 down!
  2. My kids start school for the very first time on June 4th, so I will see you guys in July! I hope some other people read our posts and join us so we can expand our group. Keep posting so I can keep in touch that way. Terry, how is your fill and have you been able to start losing again? Kelly
  3. No, problem widabbut. I can read it enough to understand it. Welcome! I would love to know about your journey so far. As far as the Clinton docs go, they don't use flouro that I know of, but I know if you request it, it has to be done at the hospital and you pay the hospital fee to use their machine. At least, that is what I believe I was told by Dr. Rohrscheib. They have a great facility in Clinton and I am very happy I chose to use that one.
  4. Hey Terry & Jennie! Glad I checked the site this morning! For some reason I thought lunch was today, not the 28th. I'm not sure how I got it so wrong. I am a complete dingbat because there is absolutely no way I can come next Monday. My oldest turns 3 on Memorial Day (May 30th) and since the holiday is celebrated on Monday and businesses are closed, we are having his birthday party from 12-3 that day. I'm soooooooo sorry to have to put it off again. I would love to see both of you, but I would understand if you wanted to keep your date the way it is. Let me know if you want to reschedule. Kelly
  5. Okay, Terry, I'm actually restricted this time! I can't hardly eat anything. Yippee! I dont' know if I've lost any weight because I only weigh on Mondays if I can help it, but I'll let you know!
  6. I guess I'm still confused majorly about saline loss in your band. I just don't understand where it goes? I had my 3rd fill yesterday and I was supposed to have 2 cc's in my band. When the doctor checked to see how much was there, I only had 1 cc. So, he put me back up to 2 again. Where the heck does it go? He said I seem to still be replacing air with fluid. Okay? So, where did the fluid go? Do I have a leak? What the heck dude...? I need reassurance I guess.
  7. Hey crazycat! My fill hurt like a SOB because he was a bit rough and didn't numb me. I've had it both ways and if the area is going to be so tender, I will go with the numbing everytime. He checked to see how much was already in my band and said I only had a little over 1cc and not 2 anymore? I still don't understand how you lose fluid in your band without having a leak, but he wasn't one bit concerned that I had a leak. So...I now have 2 cc's (again) and I feel restriction. I hope it will last. I am anxious to start seeing results again. Honestly, I am have a terrible menstrual cycle right now, and I won't know if I am losing until I finish my cycle as I gain 3-5 pounds each time. Ugh! I did get an advil stuck this morning which shows me I am restricted, and I felt the little sucker scrape all the way down. Ouch!
  8. Thanks girl! I have a fill tomorrow morning so for all I know I won't be able to eat anything but soup! Let's hope actually!
  9. Darn. I don't want to be a party pooper by choosing another place, but I would rather eat somewhere like Chili's or Chedders where we can just get like meat and veggies. We can go to Chedders again. Jennie's chicken and veggies looked so good last time off the kids menu. Seriously, do you mind changing restaurants?
  10. Jennie - What are you eating that has shown you such great results? I must know your daily diet so maybe I can try it and see better results. 42 pounds is outstanding!
  11. I will be there on Monday the 28th for lunch. Terry, as far as my fill goes, it has pretty much been a dud. I just haven't seen any loss since my surgery. My success was pre op and slightly post op, but nothing since then. I know it is because of my ability to still eat too often and my choices should be better. I think my fill tomorrow should be the "one" but we shall see. By the way, what do you recommend to order at olive garden that will be band friendly? I'm a little intimidated about being tight. Any suggestions? I don't like their soups and am unfamiliar with the menu other than salad and breadsticks (doubt I can eat that as of tomorrow). Thanks!
  12. I forgot to ask you, Terry, how did your first fill go?
  13. So, are we going to reschedule lunch ladies? It would be a bummer if you missed in Jennie.
  14. Sorry I've been away for so long! Work has been so busy with all the new buildings we are constructing. I've read everything and caught up with all of you so I am now current! Jennie, you are doing so well! As for me, I finally moved the scale this morning and lost my first pound in almost 4 weeks! My second fill really did nothing for me, but I have my 3rd on the 15th and I think it will really do the trick. I am still getting hungry between 5 and 6 times a day and I refuse to sit around with my stomach growling. I guess it worked this weekend. I ate 5 small snack type meals and woke up this morning a pound lighter. For now, I will stick to that until I get filled again. I would love to start a bigger lunch group with our new visitors to the Champaign thread! I can usually do anyday of the week, but only from 12 to 1, so don't schedule it around me. I will come if that time works for everyone, but I don't want anyone bending over backwards to include me. Just let me know where and when. Great hearing from everyone! Kelly
  15. Hey nannyjh and crazycat! Well nannyjh, I wish I could say the same for myself, but I really can't tell the difference with 1.3 vs 2.0 ccs of restriction. I'm not sure if I'm not restricted enough or the fact that I got my period the day after my fill and I get ravenous each and every time that I get it. I haven't lost anymore weight. Still stuck. I'm so happy for you that you aren't hungry. I hope it works for me soon. :phanvan I'll keep you posted!:help:
  16. That's a lot of weight loss, Jennie! You should be very proud of that. How much fill do you have total now? Just curious. I liked Dr. Tull very much. He is a right to the point kind of guy just like Dr. Rohrschieb. Hope I see the scales move again soon!
  17. Got my 2nd fill today. I am up to 2 cc's so I hope things will start moving again!!!
  18. Hey guys! Just got your posts about lunch. Haven't visited in a couple of days. Silly me. Anyway, I will meet you for lunch at 11:00 today. I will be wearing a white shirt, khaki pants and have a long silver necklace on. Brunette. Hope you can find me because I don't know how I will recognize you.
  19. I am so glad for you. I am hoping I experience that when I have my second fill next week!
  20. 1.3cc in a 4cc band. No restriction so I am having a second fill on April 17th.
  21. I really did think there would be more of us in the Champaign area. Oh well, guess we'll have to be each others cheerleaders. Haven't lost anymore weight since my March 29th fill. Still can eat a horse. I go again on April 17th for a fill with Dr. Tull this time. Dr. Rohrscheib is on vacation so I won't see him for awhile.
  22. I've only been banded since Valentine's Day and I had a fill of 1.3 cc on Thursday of last week. I have never "slimed" so it concerns me that you do and all the time. Kelly
  23. I went to tickerfactory.com and followed the instructions from there. It was a simple as picking your ticker and cutting and pasting the link into your lapbandtalk signature under your profile info. Hope this helps.
  24. I'm so excited for you! When that happens to me I will flying high!! My husband only weighs 170lbs so I have a loooooooong way to go!
  25. Awesome! So, there are a few of us out there! Dr. Rohrscheib's office is great, so anyone who needs a fill should check him out! www.lapband-md.com
