  1. You look 20 years younger & immensely happier!!!
  2. Awesome link! Thanks for sharing!!
  3. Strained Panera's chicken soup mixed with UNJURY chicken soup flavored protein is the BOMB-DIGGITY. Thanks, Jennyannk73, for the inspiration!!!
  4. Are you getting in enough Water, calories, & Protein? If not, your body might be in starvation mode & started retaining... ?
  5. I've seen a couple of 68 year olds having it done... Anyone older at time of operation?
  6. My NUT has me building on each day: 1st day after surgery: 100 cals/10 grams Protein 2nd day: 200 cals/20 grams 3rd day: 300/30 4th day: 400/40 & so on, until reaching 800 calories & 75-90 grams of protein. That will remain until maintenance when I'll move to about 1100-1200 calories & 75-90 grams of protein.
  7. Yeah, I was about to have chicken broth this morning for breakfast... Maybe it's because of that awesome sounding post? Just opted for chocolate Shake instead.....
  8. I've been a little lax about keeping this updated since my own surgery on the 15th but here's the latest: 2012 OctoSleevers 322 members!!
  9. Yep, I'm good with some Avery eye candy!!
  10. My NSV today: putting on hook & eye closure (not elastic!) pants that I could only dream of closing 2-3 days out from surgery due to my gas-filled belly!!
  11. I saw that. I've already started my plastics savings fund! Too bad Dr. McSteamy won't be around to do it for me
  12. I'm a 10/15er as well. Things are going great for me. I'm holding my hand on my belly less & less (thank goodness) & my liquids are going down well. The largest of my 3 incisions is in my navel & it's the only one that has bothered me. But I stopped taking Tylenol 2 days ago because it's not hurting me as much now. Hope we get som more 10/15ers added to the thread!
  13. Hey Susan0178! The gurgling actually seems to have subsided more today. Yesterday was a laugh riot! I could just picture me sitting in my office with my stomach doing flips & my co-worker in the next office over saying "What kind of animal did you have implanted in you???"
  14. Thanks SkinnyMinnie2Be! Yes, I can already tell a difference from yesterday to today. I know the walking (10 minutes here, 10 minutes there) is helping as well, thank goodness!
  15. Hey y'all! Finally made it to the loser's bench! 10/15 surgery was textbook & recovery has been very smooth. I sure hope that it continues this nicely. I am constantly amused by the gurgling going on in my abdomen, my navel incision is still a bit sore, and my middle back is not very happy with me right now, but other than those things I don't have many complaints
  16. Thanks, my time! I'm doing very well. My parents have been amazing at helping me remember to sip, sip, sip & Protein, protein, protein! My only issues at this point are that my navel incision is still pretty sore & my middle back is killing me. (Well, those things AND the amusing gurgling!!) How are YOU doing? You must be on phase 4 by now, right?
  17. Newly sleeved on 10/15 - when does the gurgling stop? This is just hysterical!
  18. Yay, Mae!!! I'm so glad your turn is finally here!!! You're gonna do GREAT!!!! Can't wait to see you back online.
