  1. No, my mother is against it, even if some doctors in Mexico are beyond qualified. But I only have to wait until October for my insurance to give me more info then November is my last month of the six months of a supervised diet
  2. I want to be sleeved in December before my spring semester starts I'm crossing my fingers..
  3. This was funny but you forgot location based names..
  4. What happened? It's your body, you get to decide was happens to it Hope your feeling better
  5. Did you get your gallbladder removed? Because it can be water retention? But 79lbs is great! Take a deep breath and remember this will pass

  8. I know we are young but I've done many diets and I know I need this tool. Plus I'm not living life. This is a serious decision that I'm not making lightly. I understand how drastic my life will be changed, I understand complications and I understand there is still so much I'm not going to be ready for but is anyone really ever ready?
  9. I really hope you make the right choice for you and when you call your health insurance just say your bmi is 40 for now.. It sucks that you might have to gain 20lbs
  10. https://www.unitedhealthcareonline.com/ccmcontent/ProviderII/UHC/en-US/Assets/ProviderStaticFiles/ProviderStaticFilesPdf/Tools%20and%20Resources/Policies%20and%20Protocols/Medical%20Policies/Medical%20Policies/Bariatric_Surgery.pdf I hope this link works
  11. United HealthCare does cover the vertical sleeve but it has it where you have to have two comorbidities if your bmi is under 40 but if above 40 you do not. And my moms job has an age limitation of 21 but that just them. I'm 20 right now so they are playing hold out lol but the coordinator did say I could start my 6 months of supervised diet. I have a PDF about UHC/Bariatric Surgery policy if you want to read it.
  12. I'm so excited for you!! That must have been awesome..!
  13. I have a hoodie I bought my Senior year (had my last name and graduation year) that didn't fit at all, I thought I would be able to lose enough weight before starting college. I hope I will fit in it soon its been 2 years
  14. Please let me now how everything goes I bet your a bundle of emotions right now !!
  15. I'm more worried about being approved and then being the 1% and experience a complication(s)... I use to worry about extra skin but now I understand how superficial that is or how there are worse things. But you know what, I still want this dang surgery. But I bet you will be beautiful! Good Luck
  16. You have to love your self. The sleeve is in your stomach not your mind. Even if you weighed 140 pounds, you would still find something bad about yourself. I'm working on it too...
  17. I hope you get better soon. I mean that so much
  18. Hi Beckykabq, thanks for responding! I googled them and read some good and bad. Like bedside manners and the little things. I was ready to go with them until that but I really want to like them because it is only a 4 hour drive and I have lots of family in El Paso lol! Please let me know how everything goes for you I hope you have a complication free surgery and recover quicker then quick
  19. Maybe do your preop diet to get things moving. Drink more liquids and get back to working out. You can do it! remember the sleeve will work if you work it Ok I'm done being cheesy haha
  20. I'm reading mixed reviews but they are also surgeons at a Center of Excellence hospital? Are they great surgeons? How was your overall experience? Do you any recommendations of a great surgeon in the TX area?
  21. http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/vsg/4534552/Accidently-swallowed-gum/ Hi, I'm pre pre-op but I googled and found this. Hope it helps
