  1. @ luv2sing. I am feeling the same way. I have lost 23 since I was banded but I have NO restriction whatsoever. I don't see my dr until the 28th. I wish it was sooner
  2. I am back to work. I kinda do my own thing following the diet but slowly. Breakfast : 16 oz smoothie with 25 g of protien Lunch: 3/4 salmon fillet 2 pieces of broccoli dinner : 1/3 cup of shredded chicken with BBQ sauce and 1 cup of Water melon. Two weeks post op. I figure if I chew my food very very well ill be fine. Tons of water.
  3. Hi y'all I start mushie foods on Tuesday. I want to be apart of this as well. I also go back to work on Wednesday . Let's see how this goes!!
  4. Hi Sara ! I have a 2 year old so I know the feeling all to well. Every time I cook for her I wanted something!! When I got to the point where I thought I wanted to try it, I have to sit and say " is this really worth it? What if it makes me sick, am I willing to deal with the consequences?" and the answer would always be no ! I know it is rough but Sara hang in there! You can do it!!
  5. I had the same reaction but I lost weight , 15 lbs! My post op visit went really well. I told my dr how hungry I was and he asked why didn't I eat something lol. I think that it's only natural that we are scared of being bloated because of the surgery. You will do well I'm sure!!
  6. I was banded on 5 days ago and just had a bm. Today I called my doctor and they suggested milk of magnesium ( I hate it!) so I went for a walk . I walked maybe 30 minutes I drank quite a bit of Water as well.. And what do you know I had a bm thank goodness!! Because I was beyond worried. So maybe a walk will work for u as well
  7. @skinny2bEMG I want cream of wheat too !! I seen other people have moved on past the clear liquids but I'm not sure how long they have been banded but I guess I can wait. Lol
  8. Oh wow ! I'm sorry to hear that. When is your follow up appointment?
  9. I have a sweet tooth as well. What helped me is the sugar free Popsicles , lol those are the best. My dr said to stay away from red things.
  10. Hi ! I was banded on may 16th!i am excited of what is to come. Although this clear liquid diet is no fun! I am new to this forum and I am glad that I am able to find a place where I feel comfortable talking about my lap band journey.
  11. I am the same way ! I'm like geez it sucks to think about food all the time. But that's all I can think about. I'm like I can't wait to I move to purée foods or something else other than clear liquids. My dad was in town for my surgery and because he is leaving today, yesterday my family had a big BBQ, and I could have any! BBQ is my favorite.
  12. I was banded on the 16thnas well. My dr has me on clear liquids and I am starving !!! I want to move on to the next phase but I am scared. I have had sugar free Popsicles, chicken broth, jello, Gatorade, and water ( not all at the same time!!), but when I tell u I'm starving it's an understatement. What scares me is that I haven't had a bm yet!! So first thing tomorrow I am going to call mr dr. How is everyone else doing ?
