  1. I'm in Floral Park. Not banded yet, but almost done my testing. My doctor is Dr. Geiss.
  2. Hi Shap! I was at the same seminar. My endocrinologist recommended Dr. Geiss, and everything I've found out about him has been good. I've finished most of my testing and such, and hope to have my file submitted to insurance in early July.
  3. Definitely Chapstick! I haven't been banded yet, but I remember how dry my lips were after my laparoscopic gall bladder surgery.
  4. Sorry you're not feeling well! Is the pain from your external stitches or is the plication hurting too?
  5. One of my top "looking forward to" items is NOT having to ride around Disney World on a scooter. I want to be able to walk the parks, just like everyone else. (But I will miss the scooter's basket for carrying things!)
  6. Glad to know I might be able to eat pizza. Not that it's a huge thing with me, but... I'm a New Yorker. I know I'll have to give up bagels. But if I had to give up pizza too, I might be expelled from the city!
  7. Hey, Shrcumm, I've using the same surgeon and having Lap Band and Plication too! I'm almost done all the tests and hope to have the surgery in September. I'm really interested in hearing about your experiences.
  8. Don't worry, DeAna. It's not so bad that you won't be able to keep it down.
  9. I had my Barium Upper G.I. Series yesterday. First sip of the liquid, I think, "Hey...this doesn't taste as bad as I thought it would". Halfway through the procedure: "Ugh...another big swallow." By the end of the procedure: "I think I'd rather have a root canal than drink any more of this @$&?!!!" I sympathize with you, having to do it twice.
